Is there really zero room in the back? can't you slide the front seat forward at bit or make the angle of the back of the front seat a little more upright?
I've got a 2007 model and I can get my wife in,my 6' son and his 15 stone girlfriend , everyone misses the good points on this car. I get over 78 MPG,can turn out 100 MPH, it has auto folding mirrors see me home lights,auto lights,abs,cruise control,direction headlights,anti skid control,auto dipping mirror,headphone jacks,usb connection,computer for trip,engine ect ect the list goes on ..all this for £700 and its only done 43897 miles

have your left foot on the clutch and the right one on the brake release the clutch a little until you hear the sound of the engine changes then release the brake and put your right foot on the gas pedal immediately accelerate and release the clutch pedal and here you go
This one is more of a 2+1. The front passenger can scoot forward and there will be space for a passenger in the back, but to drive comfortably the driver seat needs to be too far back for anyone to sit behind them. But that leaves space for shopping since the boot is more or less inaccessible with the roof folded.

There is room in the back but for an adult above 165cm/ 5"6 its not comfortable for driving for 30 minutes or more

It's actually not that bad. I sit my 3 years old on the back and dog. Driving in the city I put my son in front and my little dog on the back.
