Thank you for a really good demonstration, Josh. For what it is worth, you seem to try very hard to entertain, which is totally unnecessary, at least to someone like me. Can this be used as a keylight to draw focus to the subjects face?
Yes. I’ve been using it to my light face in my B-Cam footage (my face) when I’m shooting top-down (A-Cam) unboxings.

As long as you have a phone mount with a cold shoe or a camera cage designed for your phone, you should be able to do this no problem.
Can the MC be used as a fill light if it is really close?
I would say absolutely because I've done that in all my videos up to when I switched entirely to MC Pros. The only other light I've heavily used is the Amaran 150c. But those are in a separate division of lights.

Soooo… who is the MC for as opposed to the MC pro??
Either are great for anyone honestly, the main differentiating factors are cost, and light output.

Tripod on the table ? 😂 I love it
At the moment I only have one C-Stand that was out of frame and it was holding a light.... my only other option was to put a tripod on the table for a top-down. 😂
@@JoshSchorleTech not a gripe, I love it. I was able to get a really clear view from that angle.

I used the MC, the one MC Pro, my Elgato Keylight at my desk, & the Aputure P60C for the top down shots.
