Syria has 80 + US bases AND Russia AND Turks along with Assad's crew, it's easier than Lebanon?
From geographical point of view Syria a bit less mountainuous and crossing from there to the West would encircle hizballah in the Lebanon from iranian resupllies,but such an operation imho requires significant numbers of ground forces

All ancient cities have tunnels., Rome has Catacombs, Paris has Sewers, Israel has the Tel Aviv Metro. , so why all the talk about Gaza having tunnels ?
It isn't an ancient city, it is tunnels at the expense of there being a city so they can be used for military purposes.
Comparing the tunnels under Gaza to the Tel Aviv subway system is ridiculous. Transporting weapons from other countries to annihilate the Jews of Israel is definitely nothing close to catacombs and subways. Yes, it is a big deal.

The trouble with Gaza Tunnels was they were used to hide huge amounts of weapons to fight Israel. The tunnels were used to hide hostages. The tunnels were placed under hospitals, mosques, schools, United Nations buildings, private homes.
