Don't worry about the long video. I'm sure most of us want a detailed video rather than a quick one. Great job as always!
It's interesting how Mortarion's Plague Wind it isn't actually identical to Typhus' plague wind. For Typhus, the most damage is dealt at the centre of the attack and decreases every layer you move outwards. For Mortarion, the damage increases every additional step away from the centre, meaning that more of your units will take more damage. He is definitely a hard hitting unit.
∆ this is crucial info! I made the mistake of layering archi summons for the +1 hit against psychers, with Roswitha up close to demolish psychers (even her nerfed active is finally useful lol) with eldy buff pumping up everyone. Well one plague wind later and eldy, re'vas, 4-5 BL's and even Yarrick are obliterated instantly.....then they reanimate as poxxers. Shit got real very fast lol
I would love a guide where you you make a comp that doesn't rely on high-end character like Maugan Ra or Azrael. Commoners like me don't have them and gotta rely with non-optimal characters. Cheers 👍

Brother Jaeger would function really well. Similar to Ulf he would kill the pox walkers with his passive.

For high ranked guild a can se common and uncomon primes be ignored. But rare if is last boos in that rank maybi ned kill defens prime

Although Morty seems OP af, I actually really enjoy the huge variation amongst the guild raid bosses and welcome the change-up in gameplay that goes with each new boss. SP are doing a good job of keeping things fresh without needing to add a whole bunch of extra game modes.

Call me Crazy, but maybe he is Summon Spamable ? Rush in Aleph to summon 2 Swarms > Aleph and the swarms can die > Summon now 5 Cadians > If he uses his AOE > Summon 6 Necrons with Anu > if he kills them hit him with the good ol 4-5 Agressors Bomb (all while being suported by Eld ofc. )
Maybe summon the Necrons first to avoid a Poxwalker Apocalypse

MK Gravis will mitigate contagion of Nurgle, AOEs/Fire/Ice will slow down Daemons & Poxies.
This is second time that Mortarion appears in video game. The first game that appears is Chaos deamonhunters.
My silver team just got snuffed by a Common Mortarion... I came here to understand how did that happen.
Thanks Nandi! A very useful guide. But I still did not understand about the simultaneous attack of orc minibosses by all guild members - how does this increase efficiency?
When you and an ally attack, you’re both attacking the boss at 100% health. Therefore each 1% tick from boss adjutant is a larger number.
For example if you’re both attacking a boss that has 1 mill health, you will do 10,000 damage per 1% tick. If your ally attacks after you, and that boss is on 600,000hp when ally attacks then the 1% tick is only 6,000 damage.
You want to maximise simultaneous hits at high hp in order to get the most damage off the boss

Wouldn't Jaeger perform as good as ulf versus corrodious? They seem to on-theory be able to clear every poxwalker as they walk up. I could see you having them in the middle of the map spread apart and mowing down every pox spawn and dominating that boss minion encounter.

@@Nandi40k thanks, one last question where does he stack in the boss lineup. Is he the last or one of the first teams will have to face? With how much of a beast he is, if he comes before Gazgull that will hurt a lot of folks completions rates, if he comes after the necron that won't be so horrible.

Why doesn't Mortarion have his two Deathshroud Bodyguard Terminators? Isn't that like a lore point that he is always accompanied by two at all times?
That was in horus heresy era. In 40k timeline only lore he had deathshrouds terminators with him was on 1 planet he and 7 deathshrouds terminators got attaked from a necron army. After a death Guard army arived to rescue there primark all necrons was destroyed and mortarion was hurt and only 1 deathshrouds left alive.
He seems to be absurdly powerfull

Infortunateley my top team is
Rosvitha- great
Archi- shit here- but maybe after killing 2 primes he can be used to do big burst damage with summoning
Eldy- also mosty shit here (after the fix)
Yarrik- shit here- maybe after Archis summons are dead he also can do this burst one time
Aethana- teoretically her 3 high ap damage and crit chance is great but with this absurd pasie damage in mele she is also shit
Seems like people who did not invest in Ulf and Shyo at least will be totaly useless vs this guy and his primes :/
I am rally not liking what i see here. I like that the bosses are diferent and demand diferent aproaches. But I do jot like when the boss kas like 7-9or sth functionally playable characters that you have to have to do anything against him, because else is functionally unplayable vs him

My guild finished top 50 but we were doing mortarion for like a week to finish. Must admit it got boring.

First impressions - prime battles looks fun, but Mortarion design is....awful ( i was thinking for way less polite word here ). Sp just made a boss that has - deadly melee AoE, deadly ranged AoE, that u cant really kite or tank. I guess the goal is to make all released heroes so far useless and sell us the solution in future releases.
You are not meant to wipe the floor with a daemon prince primarch
you realize thats a fucking PRIMARCH, not your saturday morning villain, that is literally a SON of the Emperor

This guide doesn’t apply to 90% of the playerbase because we don’t have these characters. Would appreciate you stepping into the shoes of someone who can’t afford to drop cash on a mobile game
This fight is very badly designed. The boss starts far away so a full turn is wasted. He have several attacks every turn making it impossible to combine tanks with ranged.
At epic diffuclty, epic level characters just dies…
It is just a shitshow and timewaste…

Just a quick question: The Tournament Arena, seems to be broken. My opponents use the OFFLINE TRICK, to win every single fight, like players Apocalipsis and Mowie, who simply stuck the fight, when they have just one character left, wait the round time to be over and I get instant DEFEAT! How to AVOID BEING CHEATED, MY WINS, *IN TOURNAMENT ARENA?*
Any idea?
