Los Bienes Comunales de la Zona Lacandona (BCZL) se plantean la reforestación de la Selva Lacandona plantando 25.000 árboles en aproximadamente 110 hectáreas, centrándose en el uso de sistemas agroforestales mayas tradicionales, para impulsar la biodiversidad, apoyar la salud del suelo y restaurar el agua dulce en las lagunas, ríos y manantiales del Yaxal Lum K'inal o la Selva Lacandona. The Communal Assets of the Lacandona Zone (BCZL) propose the reforestation of the Selva Lacandona by planting 25,000 trees in approximately 110 hectares, focusing on the use of traditional Mayan agroforestry systems, to boost biodiversity, support soil health and restore water sweet in the lagoons, rivers and springs of the Yaxal Lum K'inal or the Lacandona Jungle.
