Great video. my problem is the mini motorhead is not working. I believe with the mini motorhead off there should be voltage at the two pins where it connects to power on front of cannister when switch is activated. I get none there or where the cannister connects to the motor head. Dyson V7 Trigger. I have tried hooking up a power supply to mini motorhead. I cannot get the brush to turn that way either.
@@0802dayna I may not know all the steps but i will try to figure them out and get back to you. I kept going back to it and finally figured it out. it looks like a solid molded unit but it isn't. Are you having trouble getting it apart or do you have it apart and can't get the hair and dust out of the motor.
So they use the digital brushless motor in those. Sweet
I struggled to push off the back cap with my thumbs at 1:06 but I found you can safely press a small flathead into the gap and twist
what happens between 2:16 and 2:18? How do you get that bit with the connectors out without snapping something off?
It just slides out because the screws were removed already
Yep. the push in lead was the problem with mine. Thank you.

Finally got the mini motorhead apart and got the little motor out. Hair and dust were keeping the brushes from making contact. Thank you.
@@coveylane how did you do this?! I'm having the same problem!

Do you know what are the red and white cables at 3:30 are for?
Those are the motor power wires.
