    As a competitive fan I’ve been had my eye on JT & JB and how we could stop them we didn’t have the personnel until now. These boys on D & in transition will be a movie.

    The Pistons have a duo headed Dennis Rodman in 2 players...Dennis Rodman was a all pro defender...not much of a scorer, a rebounding machine...defensive player of the year several times...Ron Holland II, has those skills, he has to hone his offensive abilities...R.H. is a Dennis Rodman Clone!!!...Ausar Thompson is his exact duplicate...Ausar is a defensive nightmare & rebounder, his shooting is his Achilles heal...Bicker staff & crew will help both of them with shooting...These 2 talents need nurturing...And if given proper time to grow...Woo-Woo-Woo!..."Deeeetroit Bad Boys"...Will return to the NBA...NBA beware...Detroit Basketball is returning sooner than you think!!!✊💪🙏🤫

    They will be demons on the court together on defense. Two top 1% athletes who have endless motors and are gym rats..... give it time. Pistons championships have all come through defense.
    We got two potential perennial all-defense guys. Yes they need to work on their shooting; and their offense overall. But they do everything else at an elite level. Both are excellent rebounders.(I've seen too many games where Pistons lose two a game winning offensive rebound to score, you can hold teams to under 100 if you deny second chance points. Ausar, Holland, and Duren help us with that.)
    Both have motors that are endless. Having two guys like that on the defensive side with their motors, they are gonna wear guys down, one thing that translated from their respective summer league is that they are still bringing that energy late 4th quarter and both summer league teams were comeback from behind teams. Give these boys some time.
    Love Bobi Klintman. If Ausar was playing we would've won summer league. I do care about our moves back of house and coaching changes, but honestly; give the kids time to cook. This is what a rebuild looks like when you have little to no assets to begin with. Boston, OKC, Utah, Houston, Orlando, all had assets to trade to jumpstart their rebuilds. We didn't. We doing it the Detroit way.

    Neither of them can shoot from 3…like AT ALLLLL smh pack the paint and let them shoot. Every attempt from three is basically a free possession for the defense.

    • @therockneverstops8261
      @therockneverstops8261  Před měsícem +1

      It’s always telling how much someone knows about the game of basketball when they relegate a player’s impact to one singular statistic. Shooting is NOT everything. Listen to the video again and you may learn more why these two can be special.

    • @dbbigham8816
      @dbbigham8816 Před měsícem

      @@therockneverstops8261 There’s a difference between not being a great shooter and being completely non functional for the position as a shooter. If Ausar was a 5 I wouldn’t care at all about him shooting 19% from three on 2 attempts a game. But he’s not a five. All that blow by athleticism is completely wasted without the ability to at least be around 30% from three. Westbrook shoots about 30% from three and every once in a while he can get hot. If Ausar can just get up to that level as a shooter where defenders at least need to contest his shot that athleticism becomes relevant. But as far as what Ausar did last season he hurts players like Cade and Duren because defenders have zero need to go anywhere near the three point line. This video didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know about Ausar. Ausar would not start on most NBA teams and if he doesn’t improve on his shooting he’s going to be out of the league. THJ can play on 5 different teams because teams always need consistent 3 point shooting that’s the modern NBA. Also don’t forget that Ausar is being treated for a very serious blood clotting issue which is keeping him out of summer league. Stop with the “you’re just being negative” nonsense and look at what Ausar is up against as a pro. Get healthy, fix the shot and the sky is the limit for this kid. He has incredible talent and ability but if he’s not healthy and can’t shoot he simply won’t be in the league at all.
