  • A friend of mine in the beach after observing me, he told me something that is food for thought. I have adapted my windsurf background to wingfoiling. That is not a coplement it is something that I have to correct. He continued by saying "yes you are a very good windsurfer but you took windsurfing and adapted it to wing foiling. You are windsurfing with wingfoil equipment instead of wingfoiling. Why you are afraid to let it fly? Let it fly and dont be afraid. Foil is for foil, if you want to windsurf then do it with windsurf equipment"...
Easy for him to say... But when you have wind speed 17- 25knots with strong gusts how is it possible not to be afraid and let it fly?? When i need to control the wing first? The windsurfmemory is stronger and dominates. When the wing pulls me my body lies back. That was what I was doing with windsurf lean back get in the harness foot in the straps and ....you know the rets. How can I erase it? Sometimes I wish I didnt know how to windsurf. It could be easier.
    Do you have any advise?

When I started I did the same thing. Found myself leaning back which would upset the foil once it starts lifting. I found this video a great help in slowly describing the steps and where the force should flow ( driving through the front foot )
