- “Friends” ain’t real New York! Comedian @sebastianconelli is calling B.S. on the beloved NBC sitcom, just in time for the anniversary of the series finale, which aired on May 6, 2004. From undercooked pizza to massive NYC apartments, and even Central Perk’s lax rules, “Friends” is full of hilariously fake moments. Even the opening credits are sus. “You see a velvet couch outside, you say, ‘No, thank you, bed bugs!’” quips Conelli. Watch his hot takes on all your favorite iconic episodes here.

“Bagel, thickness of a bagel of cream cheese, bagel” - couldn’t have said it better myself 😂
No one would watch the real NYC unless they want horror.
Wall Street and Sex and the City were filmed in NYC and they werent horror
Love this series. Sebastian is so funny and adorable. Can't wait for more of him and more of these!!
Gimme 👏 more 👏 Sebastian
This guy GETS it! None of this is NYC!!
Sebastian is hilarious! We need more of these!
The only way I’m watching Friends (or any other unrealistic travesty) is with Sebastian commenting. Kthx 😂😂. Also “we got the best food in the world! It’s not cooked by Monica” has me HOLLERING
Lol! Love these so much!! More plz!!!! 💖
I used to serve beers to this guy
...
Hope you’re doing good bro!!
You should do an episode about how there is no way in hell Ross woulda ever made it in NYC!!! Haha
😂😂😂 love this!!!! More Sebastian!!!!!
The amount of people that even moved to NYC after this show realizing expectations vs reality 😂
They did lock the door once: I remember that episode well because my first thought was, "how convenient that the ONE time they lock the door it's on Thanksgiving, and no one has a key."
I expected this to be longer. I'm impressed how concise this was. Netflix would've turned this into 3 seasons 6 episodes each. You are absolutely correct, so many inconsistencies and inaccuracies that even 90 percent of New Yorkers probably didn't catch... I was always the annoying one that pointed every single one out when it aired live and people hated me for it!!! Finally someone on my side... sooo... should I copy this link and send it to them after 20 years??? Hahaha. It was a good show for the time it ran, and even my teenage kids love it. With the lack of any sitcoms worth watching these days, I'll leave it alone.
4:56 a great view😂
Friends is Midwest coded tbh
Any sitcom filmed in LA is full of fake.
Tbh there are some places indoors that you do not want to take your shoes off
This guy is hilarious 😂
Thanks!!
Schwimmer is the one who actually lived on the upper west side. Used to see him with his kids in a stroller when i was working there about 20 years ago. He had that look (I'm SOOO done with being famous). FYI i did NOT have a fabulous circle of friends and i lived in a S**THOLE in Brooklyn....So there!!
I loved your critique....because I HATED this full of s--t show...HATED IT!
😂😂😂 funny video!!
Thanks!!
Cute
Thanks for watching!!
It was a tv show man. Sex and the City also showed NYC in a different light. I lived in NYC and NEVER saw women walking down 5th in a Gucci dress and stilettos.
Lose weight for your family man. They want you around for as long as possible.
Maybe they are the ones bringing him fresh pies everyday.
@@doNaldMusk-h28-hfkslP18 likely and sad
I’m 6 feet tall exactly and used to be 350 pounds, these days I fluctuate between 190 and 220 so I’m speaking out of experience and love only
u kno these are just scenes for the "TV SHOW". right,???????
You are talking about a different time period of course you can't apply today's ideology to friends and you were more than likely in diapers or in utero when friends was made I was a teenager
No matter the period. A lot of what friends purported to be was fake and not a Good representation of NYC living. I've known people with money that don't come close to the amount of SQ. Footage of those apartments for starters.
In a city full of different cultures they rarely if ever interact with anyone else 🤔
Nitpicking a fictional show that went off the air 20 years ago? It’s time to move on with your life and worry about something worthwhile.
Glad he’s nitpicking. We all sort of hate the grossly idealized lives of characters. It is great for someone to get specific about it all.
The fictional show isn't just like the real world. I'm shocked
No way. Are you telling us fiction is fiction and not actual real life? Who ever knew!
(Get a life)
I thought comedians were supposed to be funny
It's like this critic is stuck in second gear...
I’m a minute and 30 seconds in. Most people don’t sit on couches outside or go in fountains in any city in America? This is like worse than cinemasins kind of nitpicking.
It's a comedy fiction, not reality. Get real.
Btw everyone unless you are an Italian American who worked on this accent a while, virtually NOBOdY in NY speaks like this guy. New Jersey maybe. No shade to him
Jersey... No negative ! Try again
This is closer to an authentic NY accent than most people realize. Go to the fire departments and you'll hear guys talk life this. Most of them are native new Yorkers. The problem is most people in NY today are not from NY. Half aren't even from the country.
This was cringe
