For the people who thought his campaign was a joke, completely missed the message. The fact that he got young people interested in politics and got them out to vote is a success in itself. The political system is a joke and what Niko showed is that if you are genuinely interested and represent the people, you'll get their vote. Weop done young man.
@@MatPandaZ Maybe if you suck. There's a reason why you have no friends. You're fickle, unreliable, and most of the time nobody likes you. Older people are much more committed to disliking you. If you did the same thing again that 0 friends you have would turn to -24 which would become -89. The amount of oxygen and space that would go into keeping you alive isn't worth it. Having you breathing instead of buried 6 feet under is exactly why the world sucks.

Just proving that those pounds are used in vain. Those shallow billboards get you nowhere because they have no soul. Niko did it for laughs and to prove that there are tons of young voters - some that would not have voted otherwise, probably! - WILLING to vote.

I am so happy that someone stood out, and proved the boomers a point. They never took us young people seriously, until this man came along and did the unthinkable. Even though niko retired, and meant this as a troll, he still gave the others a different point of view at us. I want to thank niko and the others who helped him prove a point, that will change the world to a lot of young people and their careers.

welcome to british politics. its fucked. we know its fucked. they carry on regardless, so we take the piss out of the entire thing.
Honestly, I love what he did. Politics is supposed to deal with the important parts of peoples' lives. Joy and humour are essential parts of life, yet there is absolutely no room in European politics for joy and humour (intentional humour, plenty of jokes though). He did let people see how disconnected politics is from their lives, shed light on some important issues, made mainstream political hacks uncomfortable, and hopefully was able to show people what is missing from political decision making. I know this was all a joke, but that's what makes it so important.
*Even years later his point still stands and gave the young people a voice, and even if he didn't win, he took his voice and spread it out helping his point further. I hope the new generation of politicians will bring our visions and hopes to light and life! We're always here to stand up for what we believe and we are waiting for someone, as great as you, to stand with us and project our voices even louder than anyone and everyone else*

2 Years later this video still gives me chills never thought that the most Awkward youtuber ever will win 5th place for mayor.
I learn english as a second language and read about inspirational young people in the past in my workbooks and studentbooks. Those books were published almost 10 years ago. Soon they will need to be updated to relate to the present. This, and I mean this seriously Niko, is worthy of being acknowledged in an internationally used english-as-a-second-language schoolbooks!

I am from India, and I belong to GenX. There is an important lesson that Young has to learn from Niko. Participate in your democracy, because your opinion matters. Engaged citizens are the best that can happen to a democracy. Your polititcal ideas matter since you are going to inherit the good and the bad of our governements and the fundametals are as relevant today as it were 100 years ago.
