During one of the movie specials for Miraculous, it's stated that the magic that produces their powers also protects their identities through some kind of mind muddling thing that prevents people who know them from being able to figure it out just by looking at them or hearing their voices. That pretty much has to be the case for the show to work or else everyone who had heard it before would recognize Nazsalamoth immediately by his distinctive voice alone.
The same logic applies to any magical girl anime.

I don't think they would've particularly minded, I think it was more of a 'oh shit she's sacrificing herself when she has people that care for her and need her' realization. They didn't want to make the kids into orphans, but I have to admit the way they asked the question in the context of their past relationship and on-going crush fest was a little funny.

Yeah the initial thing that went through my mind when Raine almost freaked about Eda having kids is that Eda would have had a partner. Eda and Raine clearly have chemistry and I would think Raine would still think fondly of Eda - making her slight "freaking out" seem like, just like you said, heartbroken.
As much as I would want Eda to meet up with Camila, if that doesn't happen, I would think Eda and Raine would be a good pair.

I saw someone on tumblr point out that, while Eda gets blushies from Raine crushies, Raine actually doesn't - they blush at *everything else* but are genuinely confident around Eda (in non-public situations). I think it's neat how they've developed such a level of comfort around her, and it's fascinating how it leads to them showing their feelings for her in a unique way for the show.
