- Gov. Phil Murphy on Thursday again criticized a proposal for congestion pricing rates that would charge cars headed into Manhattan’s Central Business District an extra $15 on top of regular tolls - and trucks even more.

Why people put up with life in New York and New Jersey is beyond me.
They're weak and obedient people who need the government to hold their hand at every moment.
Because NYC is not representative of life in NJ or NY State.
We in NYC agree! This is another bill/tax on the lower and working classes. I live in the zone, and I am in the working class. I will have to pay this fee just to go home. It's not good.

Who has an extra $3600,00 a year to give away ?? Ps why is it 24 hours a day ? There no congestion at night .
Cause its not about congestion. Its about the money. They are rubbing their hands thinking about the extra income squeezed from everybody. Motorcycles create very little traffic and they are till being charged.
I wish NJ politicians would have quit whining and filing lawsuits they knew they were going to lose - and negotiate with NYC to get some of this money to fix the NJTransit fiscal cliff.
Exactly, and over 80% of NJ commuters take transit anyway, so it benefits more people.

True. But last I checked NJ raises toll prices on the turnpike all the time and the NJ gas tax has gotten out of control yet Murphy didn’t care at all. The only reason he’s pissed is bc he isn’t getting this money

This is better to increase price because too much traffic.
The trains aren't equipped to handle an influx of millions of new passengers 😂😂😂 but some how they think this is going to work Yikes.. All this does is ADD more to the goods that have to come into the city 😢
