That's some deep shit.
Underrated lol
Lmao
you heard him 9ft deep shit
plot twist: automobiles and industrial revolution changed the composition of the atmosphere, raised temperatures, melted polar ice, unleashed severe natural disasters, storms, earthquakes, volcanic activity, tsunamis, global pandemics-- all which damaged economic growth required to keep capitalist ponzi scheme going- which magnified xenophobic feelings, increased efficacy of populist messaging; this promoted elite abuse of poor and working class, political minorities, the weak, sick, old and young. And, culminated in race wars that only subsided when people had to start fighting for a sip from the last clean puddle of fresh water, the last breath of fresh air, a handful of ammo at the hatch to the underground lettuce mines.
I spit out milk through my nose from this comment. Even weirder, I haven't had milk in 9 days
Whoever wrote that is fucking. genius.
@@Simon-xi8tb Mike Judge IS a genius, but this show has a large writing staff. So unless they actually said it was his idea specifically, it could have been another person, or quite possibly multiple people working together. The writing credits for the episode might or might not give a clue as to who's idea it was.
That's why they ended the series. Also, they made a Covid reference in 2017...

I can't believe this is an actual historical crisis
Isn't a "mountain of shit" the literally curse word definition of a huge crisis?
Based on the Wikipedia-page it seems like it may not have been - at least not to the extent often reported.
@@Reach1335 Why did I read that in Erlich's voice? LOL
Yeah, you shouldn't believe it as this is popular comedy series and not a historic record.
paris had problem with dead bodies piling up.

Damn, what an eccentric yet effective analogy.
Jared's brain power is almost like a Jr. Peter Gregory.. only Peter's mind is enlightened while Jared's is... fucked up beyond comprehension
And how would you characterize Big head's brain power?
@@jamesrawlins735 what brain power, his entirley character is based on pure luck
@@jamesrawlins735 no brain, just pure liquid luck!
@@marishkaspirit lol, I actually get a kick out of that trope. Big Head literally just Forrest Gumps his way thru life, lurching from one unintended success to another.
Obviously, the scale of his over achievements is exaggerated for the show but I can't help but think of a few people I have known that were so similar to Bighead.
The type of people who almost seem to lack the ability to be suspicious and are basically incapable of malice or petty grudges. And it's not necessarily because they are dumb. They just don't engage with negativity... like they have Ataraxia or something.
I love the 1st season when they are doing the cap table interviews with everyone and Bighead literally talks his way off the team by emphasizing how useless he is.
He was state raised đ
Dwight would be proud
Don't you mean Dwayne or Diapers?
shut up about the sun!
Now back to Richard's theme park analogy
mike johnston Bob he earned being called bitchard with this episode
Outstanding interview tactic.
Give a strange quick answer then when asked to clarify use the opportunity to give far more light to your point.
Or terrible
Works if you're COO or the most important person in the meeting. Otherwise they're just gonna think you're weird/stupid and cut you off.
He nailed it, omg good job.
Lol. How the stock prices increase as Jared speaks đ
I'm so glad for Jared, just like his mother he never had :')
That is a COO
Definitely not manure.

these Emily Chang bits are the best thing in all the seasons!

Tbh, Richard was a bad CEO, he can't manage, he would be a good employee or a higher position in the company but not CEO
Richard being a bad CEO is run throughout the series right âșïž but you have to admit, he became much better down the line
That's the purpose of this show. To enlighten people of the difficulties. Too bad it's canceled.
Staff Engineer
â@Juan Linietsky Naw... it was canceled when "Jared" made the Covid reference. Wasn't it ironic how the process of the start-up was dragging on in Erlich Bachmans incubator for nearly 4 seasons then wrapping up the entirety of the corporation in 2 seasons?
Agreed.
Had us in the first half, ngl
his explanations really hit on point...
Damn...that was...literally a good fucking analogy to use.
my brain while doing math homework: "MANURE"
Even Gilfoyle was interested :)
Incredible writing!
Best Scene Ever!!!
Jared should've been COO way earlier. He was already handling HR stuff on top of all business development stuff since the beginning. As soon as pied piper got it's new offices and they could afford it, he should've been appointed COO. if someone wants to discuss SV with me, please hit me up. I have some thoughts.
I want to discuss and dissect every character
Problem is, they didn't even know what a COO was. When Richard finally knew, he appointed Jared (after that whole dating/cheating episode with someone else's COO).
Want to discuss the movie "A Serbian Film" with me?
It's one of my favourites.
The uncensored version that is.
Jared and Ehrlich will always be the MVPs of pied Piper

I love Emily
To be fair, it was George Costanza who gave Manure a positive spin.
He didn't even mind the word 'manure.'
You know, it's, it's 'newer,' which is good. And a 'ma' in front of it. MA-NURE.
When you consider the other choices, 'manure' is actually pretty refreshing.
Dwight taught him well
underrated comment
Identity theft is not a joke!
Cars also have problem of manuring, which has some part black & some invisible.
Cars eliminated old problems and created new problems.
yeah yeah global warming. i mean climate change
So true, the pollution is probably worse, but at least it solved the manure problem I guess.
Electric cars are the way to go!
@@BRBallin1 Where do you think the electricity is coming from? Mostly coal-fired power stations.
Isn't that always the way though ?
Is this gentleman available for work? I need to start a company just for him. Priceless!
Every startup CEO needs a Jared
Nice
My man Jared.
Biff Tannen hates manure and loves cars. I'm seeing a pattern.
Writers are genius !!
Problems can be seen as chance for growth (innovation) or a chance to die (regulations)
Regulations is literally meant to prevent the problem (or push it back - creating time for innovation, which rarely happens overnight), and innovation escapes the problem.
Hell, even inaction is not certain death so idk who fed you that bullshit
Oh man who ever wrote these line, i bow my hat to you
And then the show ends with them accomplishing basically nothing
Like that German scientist who independently developed the nuclear bomb.
Manure?! Obviously đ
Gavin: now that's the sh*t!
Today that manure is cars itself
Anchor is so beautiful man
WOW
There will never be a "decentralized" internet. Even if we're ever given the illusion of a decentralized internet, it'll still be controlled by the Bergs, -Mans, -Skis and -Steins.
Which episode is this from?
what is That background music ?
Nice talking but not so surprise, Jared always interpreting meaningful thing out of impulsive action from Ridchard
What is anchor name? I love her so much she is gorgeous
Manure
can someone tell me episode and season?
Everytime jared mentions manure gilfoyles head moves in discomfort. đ
He could have started saying car instead of manure lol
That was so my name
The analogy is even better because that solution (the car) ended up ruining the world
The opposite of George Costanza
The moment the background music started to play, he sounded saner and correct
I don't quite know if I could top these comments
MANURE?
Thatâs why I hate what they did to Jared at the end.
COO...more like POO
This guy fucks!
best speech ever
The car just created a bigger problem, fossil fuel emissions.
I'm just gonna say it...
How THE FUCK did he just pull that off?
if you have basic common sense, those who predicted that is/are stupid as they only think that horses are still in use mostly in transportation through the mid 90s. trains and cars are already being use in the late 1800s. that is supposed to be added in the factor predicting the manure problem.
Now It is predicted that the environment will get polluted because of automobiles and the world needs a Tesla!
it's not a bad analogy, but the whole manure story is actually about linear predictions. People took the 3 inches of manure that gathered over 1 year in London, linearly predicted into the future, adjusted for "more people means more horses" and estimated that the city will be covered in 9 feet within 10 years. It's not the invention of the car that prevented this. Even without the car, someone would come in and clean it at some point don't you think? So you cannot predict lenarly and say the world will end because once a problem starts to increase, people will change their behavior to avoid it, but only then. (*yes i know the ironie about climate change)
One more example of this is: when Japan grew really fast in the 70 and 80, they accumulated large amounts of money. They linearly predicted that with this savings rate within 25 years Japan will hold 100% of the world's credit and everyone else would borrow exclusively from them. Well, look how that turned out.
Jareds point is about preventing of cybercrimes/manure from even existing not just keeping it from piling up.
YSomeone would start cleaning it but at any given point in time there is still going to be manure on the street. Just like even though the police is catching cybercriminals, there are still a lot of cybercrimes being committed. Jared is saying that a successful Pipernet would make it impossible to even commit these crimes, making is unnecessary to prosecute them just like it's unnecessary to clean manure from streets where there are only cars.
Japan never took into account countries printing money into oblivion. Amongst several other variables.
Itâs an interesting use of the analogy. Linear Prediction helped society understand the ramifications but until Henry Ford developed mass production of the car (which was invented by Benz and not Ford) there wouldnât be a resolution to the problem for nearly 30 years. The car wasnât invented as a result of the crisis it was just that itâs adoption brought about a resolution to the crisis.
Yes the manure crisis vanished, and in its place gave way to an even worse housing and infrastructure crisis
You are right
yeah solving the problem required a 90% reduction in the population of horses
