    I have been looking all over youtube for a tutorial on how to paint a AA baby for months now, tonight I happen to just stumbled across your video by mistake, you showed me exactly what I was looking for from beginning to end! thank you so much for showing us your amazing talent.

    I was just giving up on trying to do AA babies. This has got to be the best hands down tutorial that I have seen....trust me in a very long time. You actually tell the steps by steps instructions with paint mixtures and all and let's not forget the outstanding work on your AA babies. Thank you for taking the time to honestly help us that are in need of learning. You are a GOD sent angel for doing this. Big hugs going your way.

    Honestly I like videos with captions over a bunch of rambling. I find a lot of tutorials on reborning are hard to watch because people ramble. So thank you for this straight to the point tutorial very easy to watch and very informative

    I’ve seen so many trying to paint an AA baby and wondered were they saw an AA baby that looked like that, but I can say you are far the best. When you kept going darker I was ecstatic and hesitant, but you did it I love me some chocolate baby and you did it thanks.

    Thanks for this i will be making my first reborn soon. I will be trying ethic for my first try because as an AA its easier for me to know what goes into our skin tone where as with Caucasian babies i wouldn't even know where to start im not really familiar with their undertones. This helps me out with some of the color blends i could use. I will be using air dry paints so hopefully the colors will still translate

    Amazing video! I am now actually going to attempt an ethnic reborn after watching this. I would love to see a tutorial on painted hair as yours is amazing and I have been struggling to get it right. I find that I can't get the consistency of the paint right. What mixture do you use? Hope you don't mind me asking.

    Would love to see this again updated quality. What are you using instead of the thinning medium now that genesis is having major shortages??

    • @kristalrainey-anderson3386
      @kristalrainey-anderson3386  Před 2 lety

      I have been experiencing with diluting thick medium from genesis, but again it is still in short supply. Fortunately I had quite the stockpile of thinning medium and still have a 1 1/2 of the 4oz jars left. I have been trying not to use as much as I did in the video but I will eventually run out. Luckily I have started painting silicone so I will still have that.

    I use Acrylic paints to paint my babies, it's really hard to find a tutorial of Reborn Artist who uses Acrylic paints to paint their babies with. But this still helps with know where to put the paint

  • @Amandahugginkizz
    @Amandahugginkizz Před 2 lety

    I dont know if the first step of "priming" is really necessary. It seems like alot of extra work, specially since you add thinking medium to the next layers anyways....

    • @kristalrainey-anderson3386
      @kristalrainey-anderson3386  Před 2 lety +1

      When you start adding color straight away, you will get a blotchy baby unless you are extremely careful. There are many ways to paint a baby, this is just my way, I hope you were able to see some value in what you watched. Thanks for the feedback.

  • @harmiesrebornbabies5934

    Hello, Do you mix Linseed Oil in with the gamsol and the paint to keep the paint smooth looking when you apply it to doll?

  • @harmiesrebornbabies5934

    Hi, do you use Linseed Oil in your paints to keep the doll from looking chalky and muddy?

  • @justpassingthroughthistime9947

    Hello, I am going to watch your video and I appreciate your work in putting it out. I wanted to ask you, right at the beginning you are mixing a primer coat. you show scooping up the thinning medium and placing it in a jar and then adding the flesh 2 into the jar.
    But, you already have a mixture and color in there. is that some of the flesh 2 and thinning medium as well or is that another color in there.
    thanks for any information.

    • @kristalrainey-anderson3386
      @kristalrainey-anderson3386  Před 7 lety +8

      Yes it was the same mixture, it was left over from another doll that I had been doing. It's not so important that you get this mixture full of color, but you need enough to see where you have put it on the doll. Thanks for the question! :)
