      Plenty of channels do that already. Something i have done in the past and to be honest people found that element boring. Most just want to see the thing in action not dissect it but i fully get it and like i said channels do those kinds of vids. Almost 40k subs with the same video formula that seems to work for me and my viewers but appreciate the words :)

    Thanks mate, for a really honest review of this 1/10 mjx truck. I really like it, and it does look like the 1/16 trucks but on steroids, which isn't a bad thing. I think will wait for version 2 to come out before i buy, but i will get one for sure. And i think it looks like a real rc car. And anyway rc cars are toys.!😊

    It's nice to see these other companies starting to put out 1/10 scale rigs. Most competitions and the like are size-specific, so having another contender really just opens up the options!!!

    No doubt it's a very tough truck! But...at $300 it is up against the Arrma 3S line (at $329) which has much, much better parts availability and huge aftermarket support. The Arrma 3S line is also faster on 3S than the 10208 is on 4S. I like the truck but it's going to have a tough row to hoe in the U.S. market.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 6 dny +6

      Yeah all valid points. Parts availability will be perfect for us in the Uk as seriousRC will have all the bits. Don’t know if things will get easier in the US with parts maybe if they find a local distributor. The blx range for us is £339 around that mark which is $400+. Anything arrma outside the US market is way more expensive which makes these cheaper brands appealing for some.

      @@beyondRC Same here is Australia, the Arrma Granite is around $680 and the MJX is only $420 AUD. I could buy a 4s battery, lipo charger and probably a better radio for the price difference! No hate towards Arrma but competition like this could hopefully see prices come down a little haha.

      they are confident that the omni is a much better truck. What i will say is it does feel more premium than the MJX but the size compared to the rest of the leading 1/10 in this class is the downfall. If it was a proper 1/10 and not a 'mini' 1/10 which they class it as.. firstly that's BS its a nicer way of saying 1/12th. We all know its a 1/12 haha. They need to release a proper 1/10 and fast IMO..

    In the UK at that price it is really good value. Its nearest priced competitor is the maverick quantum2 which is around £250. I have an Arrma granite 3s which will do the mid to high 40s on 3s and is solid as anything but equally it cost me £375. So this MJX is potentially the best value strong 1/10 truck out there now.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 6 dny +3

      Exactly that and that's the point a lot of people are missing at the moment. Well mostly people in the US because they can get the ARRMA cars for around the same price. We cannot. Thats what makes this a really good value truck for what it is.

    It's an Arrma lookalike. At that price point, I will always buy an Arrma or Team Associated MT10 that I can get parts at my local hobby shop. With that said. Amain Hobbies is starting to carry all these brands and when they start stocking parts that may change my mind as I do like my smaller MJX vehicles. Especially when kids show up and they want to try an RC car I hand them my small 1/14 scale MJX bashers like my 14210.

      @@beyondRC That really is an issue, and we are already seeing the fruits of that sort of thinking, in the youth. They don't appreciate what they have anymore, and don't know the value, in keeping your blessings, well maintained, properly respected, and in "like new" condition for as long as possible. Also, the value in taking your whatever it is, and figuring out how to properly fix it, if it breaks, and the pride one feels, when they're able to do that. It's really an amazing feeling, when you can take what was broken, and bring it back, on your own, with no one's help. Of course that's not every young person, but it seems with each successive generation, those sorts of people, become more and more a rarity, whereas 100 years ago, that was the way it was, you just had to do what you had to do, but now, not so much. Quck, who's kid's know how to change their car tire?

    I'm not fond of MJX. I might be biased but i've always known about MJX first, but yet i still only own 2 Rlaarlo's. In case of my D12, for the 160 i paid around christmas, even MJX couldn't compete; especially in terms of quality. The D12 had higher praise for build quality (dont confuse that with bash-ability, MJX wins there) and the design (higher stance, more clearance) was better than anything MJX had on offer. On top of that, my friend's MJX cars were definitely cool, but for a mechanical OCD'er like me, it was way too sloppy. But beefy, i'll give MJX that win.
    In this case, it looks like the MJX definitely has some 'design cues' that might require frequent repairs. My Omni isn't free of issues either; and Rlaarlo is definitely coping on that one. But i'm very happy with how the Omni handles, still the best handling car, no bouncy landings, thing is a DEAL for the 250 it costs. A mini Kagama imho.

    The Omni terminator has some issues like wobbly front wheels after the first run, with just normal driving no jumps... (my 6 year old stock pro sc10 has way less wobble🤨)the brakes are terrible, the stance destroys the dog bone cups so you have to lower it. Not sure if the upgraded cups are durable enough for the og stance. I don't know what I think of this truck. On one hand, it's great to finally see a real 1/10 basher from one of the good Chinese RC brands. But it seems expensive, and the suspension doesn't look to be very well resolved. It also seems like it should go faster on 3S and 4S. It sounds like it also doesn't have an adjustable motor mount? Anyway, I'm intrigued and will be interested to hear more impressions as they become available. From what I've seen so far, it looks like a good first effort rather than an unqualified home run.

Before youtube and before viral skatepark vids of RC cars who ran RC cars at them? I didn't growing up and none of my friends. I dont have a problem with the actual skateparks because it can be enjoyable but when videos of all out destruction are being released (which the creator has quite clearly gone out of their way to cause said destruction) then labeling products are sub par because they didn't survive a concrete landing. That i do have a problem with. But yeah no issues with any channels and no dust ups (Unless Kev asks for one or better still TomleyRC) ill be ready for either or both hahaha!! Jokes obvs.. :P

      only reason they didn't is because its arguably way more truck for the money. Might not be as good quality but its bigger (actual 1/10) faster and due to it being made primarily out of plastic (Some say that makes it look toy like) i think it will be more durable! Everything is so big and beefy on it!

Might be useful into (Yes I know it depends how far your squeezing that trigger! But a genera indicator of one and we can approximate. the battery tray accepts up to 5000mah 3s/4s.
