I feel like they were never supposed to be seperate at all, and Hydaelyn was initially a part of Zodiark most likely.
@@AlexWaff I like this. The current strategy under Zodiark is flawed because we've seen it doesn't work. Half the population was killed to avert the cataclysm and then half of that was killed again. We don't even know the cause of the cataclysm but we do know Hydaelyn has successfully pushed it further while keeping the people alive. It sounds like only way to stop it for good will be to merge their power. Then again, joining is akin to the non-dominant selves dying. Definitely a conundrum. I'm so looking forward to seeing this play out.

I think Shadowbringers talks a lot about our purpose in the world. And I'm not talking inside the game, but outside, in the real world. Remember that quest where Tesleen becomes a Sin Eater? That quest is called "The Time Left To Us", she says that we all should find happiness wherever we go, because our role here is temporary.

Beautiful. The atmosphere and music really capture that sense of loneliness, sadness, solitude and serenity of a forsaken city lit by moonlight. Never played the game but this is great.
I used to have dreams like this. I forget about them until I flew over this city, almost killed me inside because I don’t have dreams like that anymore. I guess that just happens when you get old.
Interestingly enough there's a mount you can get from pvp that specifically says in the description that your chocobo is waiting sad and alone while you use another mount.

There is no "joining Emet's side" for the WoL. In the end he would sacrifice the Source's population to bring back those lost, assuming Zodiark could even make that happen at all. He wants to bring back the old people, but at the expense of the new life that we need to protect in the Source and the First too. It would always have been us vs them.

@@insertcognomen thing is they also sacrificed another half to bring back their world and were about sacrifice half of survivors to bring back the first half of the sacrificed. They might have acted out of despair to save their species but they still didn't care much about wasting lives, probably because they had no real concept of death prior to the apocalypse. Even after their souls splits into several new form of life, they refused to acknowledge it and were willing to kill every new life forms because of a mess they started. They had as many right to want to survive as the current humanity does but at least our side values life.
Fuck. It was weird walking in such a modern-styled city when we were so immersed in a fantasy world. I'll never get over that dramatic reveal after 6 years.

My guess would be the melancholic song combined with the idea of a ''lost civilization'' somewhere under water. It's very reminiscent of Zanarkand to me.
It becomes even sadder when you finished MSQ and realize that Emet-Selch wove this city from the Aether to ease his homesickness. Generally speaking, his yearning for the days where his world was whole is understandable and I empathize with him, but not on the backs of billions of lives, no matter how fragmented they are.
I know unpopular opinion buuuuut, this reminds me a lot of the entire world of Lightning Returns... And I fucking loved that game. everything seems lost and empty, yet there they are, living their last minutes or hours on this world...
Emet Selch tried to show us how great the Ascians of old were, but really showed us what they looked like at their weakest. He showed us that yes, they were powerful, but they were also dumb, fearful, and full of hubris. Amaurot was an amazing city, yes, but I have no doubts that the people of the Source could attain such highs as well, given time... hell, they might have already, if they weren't constantly set back by constant calamities being thrown at them every few hundred years.

この街に着いた時涙がボロボロでちゃった。行けるところはそんなに広くは無い街なのにそしてここには一人しか人はいないのにこんな大きな街を造り上げて街の影を眺めながら友達と楽しかった日々を思い出していたのだね。街が大きければ大きい程エメトセルクの孤独が大きいそんな気がしました。

最初に来た時の衝撃と感動がすごかった。
自分が小人になったかのようなとても大きな街と大きな人。謎の声で話しかけられて、終わったらスッと消えていって。
深海という事も相まって、寂しさと空虚さと若干の怖さを合わせたこの街に、さらにこのBGMが神がかった噛み合いを魅せていて、来てすぐに大好きになりました。丸一日オーケストリオン獲得の為に費やせる程に。
ただ、ジェム350個は結構重かった！！

漆黒のエリアBGMはどれも秀逸ですが、特にテンペスト、アーモロートの２つは素晴らしいと思います。
この時計のチクタク音はきっと〝彼〝の止まった時を動かしている表現なのかなぁとか考えてます。
針は終末のその時までのカウントダウンかと思った。
在りし日の事を思い出せるような曲の雰囲気がとても好きです。ここでは確かに日常があってそれを大切にしてるような感じがとても好きです。

寂しいのに落ち着く、暗いのに暖かい。決して人影の無い窓明かりの向こうに働く人が居るようにも思え、ビルとビルとの谷間から遠くに見えるのは丘上に並ぶ団地のよう。古き昭和の子供時代を思い浮かべる一家団欒の情景。来たはずがないのに何故か懐かしい。子供のころに見た空想未来図なのか、はたまた夢で見たものなのか。この素晴らしき街を、心地よいBGMの制作に携わられた皆様に感謝。
しかし何といっても衝撃を受けたのは、みんなのコメントを拝見して知ってしまったBGMにチクタク音が有るらしきこと。
若い頃には当たり前のように聴こえていたであろうに、FF坂口氏と同世代の自分には全く聴こえない。おそらく高音なんだろう。
きっと老いさらばえ不意に人生の終末を想像してしまう高齢者の私に時を刻む秒針は聞こえないよう配慮してくれたんでしょう。

どうでもいいんだけど、テンペストでゲーム閉じてまた開いたときロード画面のアーモロートの公式ネタバレアート食らって「！？」ってなった
何があるのかそこで知っちゃった口だけど、このBGMがそれを補う以上の良さでてた。マジで好き。ラスボスへの感情移入が止まらなくて、あの人の抱える使命や孤独を噛み締めるように歩いてた。
はぁ～FFナンバリングついててよかった。個人的14は9を超える最高傑作だわ！

世界がいずれ滅ぶっていうメッセージを込めていたとしても、結果的にスクエニにも滅ぶとしても、わざわざ、「スクエニが滅ぶ」なんてメッセージを込めたりはしない。
だから、必然的にそうなるとしても、作り手として自分達は滅ぶなんて言ったりはしない。
滅ばない為に良いものを作ろうと必死になってるんだから。
@@ne-onlight5803 主が言いたいのはテンペストもアーモロートも、運営してる間は必ず存在し続けるが、運営が終わればプレイヤーも行けなくなるし、このエリアが世界設定的にも消えるのは運営が終わった(プレイヤーが訪れなくなる)あとって意味なだけでしょw 深読みしすぎw
@@ne-onlight5803 プレイヤーが訪れなくなるという結果が出るのはスクエニが潰れるか、もしくは14の運営がフィナーレを迎えるか。これは紛れもない事実。君のはただの勝手に開発者目線で"妄想"や"憶測"に浸ってるだけよw
開発者がメッセージを込めてるかどうかは本議題ではなく、プレイヤーからしたらこれらの終わり方以外に"アーモロートが消える"事実はないでしょ？？？
滅ばないために頑張るのはそりゃ頑張ってほしいけど、いつか終わるし、その終わり方は誰も分からん未来の話だから。
なんか勘違いしてそうだから言っとくが、だれも"開発者がそういう意味を込めてる"なんて言ってないぞ。
