    Great review. I got one of these recently and I absolutely love it. Agree with everything in the video - also note that it does handle pretty well for the type of car it is as well!

      I totally agree, one of my favourite cars that have been made in awhile at that price point, unfortunately I think the new model is hybrid only so this is the last of the fun hatchbacks I think😔

    Hi Brian, as always your videos on the Honda great. I was wondering if you could tell me or ask your good mechanic if the clutch in the 1.0 VTEC civic is the same as the 1.5 VTEC clutch? Many thanks

    • @doolanbrian
      @doolanbrian  Před rokem +1

      Hey there thanks for watching.. so I reckon they have to be different , flywheel would need to be different to so they will have different part numbers I’ll bet.. tell me 🙂 why do you ask ?? 🙂

      @@doolanbrian thanks I'm looking at remapping the 1.0 and wondered if the increase in torque would be ok on the clutch lol thanks again

    • @doolanbrian
      @doolanbrian  Před rokem +1

      @@maverick9055 clutch issues are not common , it is unfortunately a fickle engine so I’m not sure how reliable it will be if you remap … The most important thing on the vehicle is regular oil changes and the timing belt change at 120,000 km ✅🙂

    • @maverick9055
      @maverick9055 Před rokem +1

      @@doolanbrian thanks, it's a great car. Sportline spec just wish it had the 1.5 but I reckon it could handle the remap. Not massive increase but enough to make it a bit better through the gears. Only 40k on clock at the moment. Tempted to try it 😂

      @doolanbrian  Před rokem +1

      @@maverick9055 Sport Line is a lovely spec, we never got it here, I understand, I suppose all you can do is make sure the oil gets changed regularly and be nice to the engine if you get me!

    Gorgeous car can a spare tyre be fitted under the floor with the way the double exhaust takes up more room under the car.
    Thanks.

    • @doolanbrian
      @doolanbrian  Před 4 lety +1

      It sure can Gavin ... When you buy the Spare wheel kit , it gives you a raised boot floor to accommodate the wheel and the exhaust🙂

    Off topic...but why do you guys over there need a license to own a TV?

    • @doolanbrian
      @doolanbrian  Před 11 měsíci

      Approximately 85% of the revenue generated from the TV licence fee goes to the public broadcaster RTÉ , to carry out its public service broadcasting commitments.
      Furthermore, 7% is paid to the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) for the Broadcasting Fund which is used to support the production of programmes on Irish culture, heritage and experience and programmes to improve adult literacy.
      An Post, the designated body that issues TV licences and collects fees on behalf of the Government, also receives some commission from the TV licence fee.
      Unlike the UK’s BBC, which is funded by licences in the UK, RTÉ also sells and broadcasts ads. The broadcaster claims this is because "commercial activities" are needed "to bridge the funding gap" associated with public service broadcasting. 🙂🙂
