  • What's for Dinner? It's dessert time! Noor and Verena are making Sticky Miso Banans with lime and toasted rice topping. A simple no-churn ice cream on the side and a little star anise improvisation. A recipe from OTK Shelf Love that takes hardly no time at all.

i just love the production quality of these videos and the "informal" shooting style. don't change anything. these videos are so refreshing and I feel so happy every time I watch them! i'm a little obsessed with this channel!

I really enjoyed watching Noor and Verena. I love the banter. The recipe looks amazing.

I'm with V - I much prefer barely ripe bananas. Overall, I always prefer savory to sweet, so maybe that explains it.

V is hilarious. Whipping that spoon out and browsing on nuts.

Dear V, could we maybe get that no-churn ice cream recipe?? I'm dying to try that one!

I made these with ripe plantains, the caramel with raw sugar and omitted the cream there, but added a little coconut oil, accompanied with coconut ice-cream. Very delicious!

OMG OTK! I bought the cookbook today and I must say, so many recipes in there that I wanted to try right away! This might be the best book from Ottolenghi that I own so far! And Noor Murad, I love your Machboos Rubyan! ❤

I am definitely of the greenish banana for snacking, ripe for cooking camp. I don’t like mushy ripe bananas for eating at all.

I rarely eat bananas but I love to use them when cooking. If I would eat them I probably eould eat them something between green and very ripe. Once again What a great episode! Thank you for it! I need to cook these bananas very soon, they look amazing. I was drooling while watching!

Some feedback: have one camera that is static and another for the detail shots. The constant changing of shots on the chefs is really jarring & the editing with the counts and ingredient replacement & q&a segways is quite bon appetite esque but not as well done.

Team V! For me bananas MUST be on the greener side for eating independently. The texture of riper banana is completely off putting. Spotted bananas are for baking, smoothies & nice cream ONLY.

i only eat banana when it's converted into someting else ( fried, smoothie, cookies, cake etc). But if I would have to eat a banana, I would rather eat a green one. It's a structure thing

Ok, I loved everything about this video. Great production but so relaxed and fun. I don't usually laugh out loud during recipe videos but V and N were so funny!
I also LOVED the little tips along the way for substitute methods and ingredients! When Noor was like "when someone says 'oh my god, I don't have a spice grinder! I can't make the recipe!'" I immediately sat up because that's EXACTLY what I had said an hour earlier reading some recipes in the Jerusalem book 😂

What was the white stuff you added to the sugar and butter?
