This is indeed a good travelog series. I was a bit hesitant to watch it, not knowing its purpose. But when I started watching it, I realized you are full of respect for the people and the place you are describing. That makes a travelog more acceptable. Actually, the correct word for old in Bangla is "purano" (like Hindi 'purana Qila' or 'purani Dilli' and the Bangla language doesn't have a gender assignment for verb or adjective) and NOT "puran".
Please introduce the young lady who appears to be your local travel guide. She seems to be very good at her job, with fluency in both English and Hindi with equal elan. The fact that she is showing you around a very crowded area of old Dhaka shows that she knows her city and country very well. She or her organization could be an asset to any traveller to Bangladesh.
I really appreciated your riding the local buses like a local. I travelled to Bangladesh between 2001 and 2014 but never ventured into a local bus, and never visited old Dhaka beyond the Dhakeshwari Temple. My father was a student in Dhaka University ("University of Dacca") in the late 1930s and he used to stay at a place called Purano Paltan, I have no idea where it is. My father's home district was Comilla (now Brahmanbaria). I didn't have an opportunity to visit these places but I emphasize that your kind of travel is ideal for knowing or feeling a place.
Last, but not the least, I am surprised that the respective governments allowed you to undertake this trip during a pandemic. I thought flights these days between Delhi/Kolkata and Dhaka are allowed only for diplomats and the returning people of both countries.

Bengalis say puran and purano both in verbal language.
The girl breathes life into these videos. You should thank her a lot. She's the only good thing about this series. The eyesore all around is so overwhelming. As a Bengali from Kolkata, I'm happy that my visit to Dhaka in 2016 was only limited to gulshan , dhanmondi and uttara. These parts are posh and clean compared to the old town which is a nightmare inducing hell hole of a place to live in it seems.

Doesn't matter if it is crowded but city must be clean. The clean City will show that the people in the area educated and well mannered. compare the cleanliness in the church and near the masjid.
Same situation as indian cities except some cities if u have seen any mosque , a mosque is always clean
in the church* / near the masjid said it all, Come to a mosque , come (IN THE MOSQUE) and you will see that we keep them clean, Dhaka is not clean city but that doesn't mean masjid or church is filled with dirt
