Here's a commercial for Chocolate Flavored Donutz Cereal (I guess they couldn't legally call them donuts?) by General Mills.
This aired on local Chicago TV on Wednesday, September 15th 1982 during the 4:30pm to 5:00pm timeframe.

Yeah, my dad worked at the General Mills plant in Chicago, the best part about getting the stuff from work, if it sucked, it will not be bought 😂

my father would blow his TOP. when me and my brothers would bring this cereal home. crazy cow, count chocula, and frankenberry too. LOL now I see why, too much sugar. but it was so fun being a kid, eating it.

@@syferdet this is probably the closest to ever being a real donut cereal. Would’ve been cool if they got John Belushi to do a commercial but he unfortunately passed away in 1982.
