  • How to learn Russian? Learn Russian while you sleep. This video features 100 basic Russian words and phrases that teach grammar automatically. They are especially useful for the beginning student of Russian.
To use just play the video before sleeping...
If you want to really learn Russian, the best way is to listen and speak the most common Russian phrases as often and as accurately as possible. If you want to learn Russian well, these videos will help you do that. And doing it in a relaxed way is even better!!!!
Looking for a Russian teacher? Try Italki. They have tons of teachers that you can talk to online.
    www.italki.com/i/C6FDED
The idea is to be in as relaxed or calm a state as possible. Put on headphones if you need to. Best time is the right before you go to bed. The brain is supposedly more receptive in that relaxed state.
The plan: listen to this as often as possible until the words and phrases are natural to you, that you don't even need to think to say them.
These phrases can be used mainly for the first encounters. What do you say to people who you don't know at all or don't know very well? Those phrases.
My name is Evan. Happy learning.
Let me know if you want to learn anything specific. :)

The fact of the matter is you can't actually forget your mother tongue. It's ingrained in your brain deeply, and you can always bring a second language, maybe a third or more, that deep, but the most you'll ever worry about is forgetting a word from time to time.

I love how the language sounds and how the alphabet looks - both typed and by hand. I love винительный падеж because of its ability to make almost every word of a sentence rhyme. I have found that, as a native English speaker, practicing just the accent first can be a massive help in the pronunciation of alot of Russian words. You can do this by just listening to someone who's first launguige is Russian speak in your launguige, listen to the accent and atempt to recreate it. I've personally found this to really help

Good point. I would also add that there are different extents at how well or clear someone speaks Russian. Probably listening to a University professor lecture or Putin would ensure that it's a proper Russian. As there are different accents and pronunciations in Russian and some of them I think would be harder to pronounce for a foreigner . Also some people ESPECIALLY immigrants usually don't have a sufficient enough vocabulary , so they would just teach you some basic words , usually more so swear words, instead of a proper Russian.
