WOW !!! This is my first time hearing these guys and they can FREAKING JAM!!! I'm DEFINITELY a fan now.
hell yeah Scott!
They are so incredibly talented. I’ve seen them live 4 times and they never disappoint.
I heard "If it's the Beaches" around 7 years ago on a local college radio station and loved the song and immediately searched for them thinking it would be mostly ballads. Fell in love with this band. I've seen them live four times now and it's amazing. They come to this little town called Mayville NY at the Chautauqua Institute(an arts complex) every year now. You probably heard of it by now. It's where Salman Rushdie was attacked. The energy at their concerts can't be described. If you haven't been to one and get the chance, you have to go.
Once you die, you never have too die again. Everlasting afterlife.
Absolutely the best live performance I've ever seen. The rolling stones was my first of many live shows at 13. I can't believe I've never seen these guys 😭 that will change
Is that man seriously rocking a cello like it's an electric guitar?! What a legend! It's jutting two feet out from his body.
That’s our Joe!
Greatest concert of all time
Easily top 10 bands of all time, great show!
definitly
Just coming back to life after a terrible bout with Covid, so I have been enjoying some new styles. On an Austin City Limits , I saw these guys for the first time ever ( Yesterday ) Now I,m an old guy so cut me a little slack LOL , but talk about your breath of fresh air ! I am blown away at not only the originality but their performance as well. Just beyond belief ! I,m a fan now for certain .
And the Avett Brothers are far more lyrically advanced than their contemporaries.
This night was my first Avett Brothers Concert. Waited 7 months to travel to Denver, via NW Montana to see them. I have seen them 3 more times, since; twice this last summer (Once at Red Rocks). We will see them again, this summer, 4 days apart, in different states (again, at Red Rocks). You never forget your first Avett Bros. Concert.
Great music
I've been to every show at red rocks when they played their and this by far the best show
"we tune because we care!"
Best. Set List. Ever.
Saw them last night in Philadelphia. Amazing show!!!!!
Can't wait to see this .. frenetic, hectic, chaotic and masterful show - tomorrow night!
The first time I saw an Avett brother perform was at a house party in Greenville, NC some time around '95 or '96? 311 was pretty big at the time so maybe that's what they were going for. Scott was singing in some hard-core rap band. They sucked pretty hard. The acoustics were terrible and it was so loud I couldn't tell one song from another. I could tell there was passion in it. It didn't help I was young, stupid and drunk.
Over the next several years, after having left Greenville, through mutual friends I kept up with them. I listened to Kind of Love on MySpace several years later and I was like "Damn, that's pretty catchy". Fast forward to seeing them at Kings Barcade in Raleigh..then Merlefest in 2004(?). Vince Gill was the headliner that year. And obviously I checked out Doc Watson- I took it all in. My mom was really into Donna the Buffalo. But I was hooked on The Avett Brothers. I saw their set then checked out another side thing they did about harmonies. I purchased A Carolina Jubilee and Mingonette right then and there. I camped out one night there but traveled back to Mom's house in Statesville then back to the show. I jammed those cd's all the way there and back.
Saw them a few more times at a wine festival in Dobson, NC with my then girlfriend (now wife), then Wilmington, NC, and lastly at the big amphitheater in Raleigh that keeps changing names (Walnut Creek). I think I even saw them at Kokabooth in Cary, NC. Haven't had the pleasure to see them live in about 10 years now. My kids are old enough now that I think we should get back into it. My kids loved January Wedding anytime we were in the car. We heard that song so many times.
I'm proud as a NC born, bred and lifelong resident they've achieved success with the beautiful art they continue to put out. They're definitely up there with the greatest songwriters of our generation. Not only from NC, but ever.
Mingonette is still my favorite overall album of their's. At the Beach needs way more love.
Anyway, that's my story.
What soulless human thumbs down this?
Good grief!
They must hate life.
this is amazing
They couldn't handle this much good music at once
Lol prob a teenager
Proud to say that I was at that concert, five rows back. Giving myself a pat on the back.
US AS WELL, FLEW IN FOR MY WIFE BDAY
nice me and my dad want to go to one some day
same
Well..... it does seem that you're winning at life then
What a setlist!
I love how fast and chaotic HFODRFOP is as the opener here. holy crap.
I was just thinking it sounded fast
Thanks for posting! This brings back such happy memories of those years - much simpler, not so cluttered! They will always be my favorite band!
Poetic lyrics, beautiful music. Best band since the beatles
Absolutely!!! I saw them at the Banjo-B-Q in Augusta Georgia a decade ago and they're awesome.
I love and enjoy you guys so much!! Thanks for the music, and fab energy!!!
This is fantastic. I really hope I can go see Avett bros and one of my other all time favorites John Prine in July at redrocks. Thanks for posting this excellent quality.
Already got my Avett/Prine tix for Cooperstown. Can't wait!
I hope you made it to Prine.
first 2 songs are amazing but they really hit their stride during "Go To Sleep" that's true blue Avett bros for you just on a larger scale audience wise
not too mention into Colorshow which always always brings down the fucking house
HAVE SEEN EM TWICE CANT WAIT TIL JUNE 14TH FOR THE 3RD CONCERT!!!

How come it is such a hassle to actually find real music on this Avett Bros. youtube videos? Tired of seeing pre concert crap, ads, etc.
Bra
Refine your search
There is shit tons
be better at google
How about ya buy it.
@@jasoncharles8651 Why should I? Have to hear enough of the music first to decide if I want to buy it. That's how boxing went down the tubes. Stopped allowing the public to watch it for free and then they realized they could live without it. LOL
@@SenorJuan2023 well now I know I have replied to a total nutbar, so just forget everything I said and carry on about your day.
Great job!
