  • Here is a detailed overview of our first ever effects plug-in AIR Studios Reverb, an immensely detailed convolution reverb - created in collaboration with the team at London’s iconic AIR Studios.
    Using our very own “Virtual Positioning Technology”, you can position your sounds anywhere in the legendary Lyndhurst Hall - one of the world’s most sought-out recording spaces.
    Our amazing team have also curated a selection of 64 presets to suit different instruments based on real life mixing practises, and to create a selection of standard reverb modes and spaces.
    We hope you love this as much as we do, please do visit the product page below for more info:

    Thank you for the additional video. It's better explained than the launch video, but still feels like an overly complicated UI for a reverb product. I am happily invested in the Spitfire ecosystem because your products work great right out of the box, but I'm wondering about this one. For example, I would expect there to be a "Mix 1", similar to BBCSO Pro, which keeps me from having to guess / experiment / figure out microphone choices. The source tab configures the amount of reflections in different directions. It looks interesting and also overwhelming. In other words, this UI seems to have a lot of configurable settings that I (as a non-audio engineer) will probably make worse by changing them. It has a concept of stretch which to me is not intuitive. I don't remember encountering a stretch concept in other reverb plugins. I am a huge fan of Spitifire and would really like to buy this (that's why I'm taking the time to provide some feedback) but the complexity and unusual concepts in the UI worry me that I'll waste a lot of time not knowing what I'm doing, and get a sound that simply isn't what a professional audio engineer would do with this tool.

      You won't be disappointed, brilliant plugin, especially through a good pair of headphones. It brings the instruments alive and into the room. Worth every penny. I am a reverb fussyendo, and this became my first go to over Cinematic rooms and EW Spaces II.

      @@AMBIOSIS Appreciate your info. I have indeed purchased the plugin and am enjoying it very much. My leftover feedback is that they should more strongly tout the presets. Takes away all the guesswork for a non-audio engineer like me. I still make a few modifications here and there to the plugin for different dry instruments (typically lowering the mix value because I am using the plugin inline) but I've found that the high number of distinct, specific instrument-based presets makes it extremely easy to get a great sound from all of my dry sample libraries, practically right out of the box. Thank you, Spitfire Team!

      @@blue-balance Hope you get on well with it, it is what it is, and the presets are only a starting point. How you use it, is the trick. This has a lot under the hood, unlike most. You gotta use your ears with this one. it's all about the accoustics.Good luck.

    I'm looking forward to seeing how this can be used in a larger template. There are a couple other decent reverbs out there where the user will be able to see multiple instruments on screen in the same instance of the plugin (similar to Mir Pro) - will this do that? Or will this be one instrument or group at a time where the user will need to move back and forth between instances of the plugin to adjust placements in the room?

      That would be great! If I could cycle through different layers of instruments, adjust the properties for each of those layers individually, all through one loaded instance of this plugin... this would be an instant buy for me.

    Thank you for the detailed walkthrough. It was well explained. The only thing missing is maybe a demonstration of your preferred/recommended use case.
    In Paul's demo he didn't show us whether it was used on a buss (but I think he mentioned it). Maybe demonstrating the difference between it being used as an insert compared to the send could be useful.

    • @TWDub
      @TWDub Před 2 měsíci

      Setting it to a buss or an insert doesn't change how the reverb works, how it sounds, or how it affects the audio signal. The only thing buss/insert does is change your personal method of controlling how much of it comes through at any given time in the mix. And since that's a user-preference thing, there's not much use in demonstrating it which is likely why Paul glossed over it so quickly. Cause he did show how you can switch between the two. But it's just user preference for control.
