    you should also do a secondary version of these videos where you have a student working with you. You could let them do the work but you would be there to make sure they don't screw up too bad and keep the video from being overly lengthy. the main reason I suggest this is because, while your videos do help out considerably, if students could see other people that are in the same positions do the work. It would really help fine tune their skills if they could see others ask questions, get it wrong, and understand why they got it wrong, as well as getting it right, and understand how and why they got it right. I think it would not only make your videos that much more better(if they could even get better) but it may bring more viewers if they could see and hear other students possibly ask the questions that they are curious about. its just a thought.
    Just to clarify why i suggest this; I am currently in school for networking and I am pursuing my CCNA cert but since I am doing it 100% online, It does make it a little hard when you don't get to ask questions or run ideas by other students due to not being in the classroom. This is also in addition to not being able to get hands on experience with real lab equipment. I can guarantee that other students who are doing the online route feel the same.
    With all that being said, your videos have been a tremendous help and I am not sure I would have passed my first semester had I not came across them. Keep up the good work.

    Thank You for this, I found the Cisco instructions absolutely bullshit tbh. I tried working just off the show ip route and v6 commands and was completely at a loss why the answers were as they were. I got everything working just by putting static routes in and still had 0%!
    I wish Cisco could have put some information about how THEY want the troubleshooting to go rather than expecting people like me who have just started learning to know exactly where to go and that the configuration had to be a version of what was already there rather than just 'fixing' it.

      Thank you for all your support and good comments, netacad from Cisco expect a troubleshooting using show commands like show ip route, show ipv6 brief, etc. I recommend to use show run because you can detect issues from all configurations

    EN el ejercicio, al final cuando se hace pruebas de tracert, los paquetes no van por donde indica la tabla de enrutamiento... curiosamente se va por la flotante en lugar q por la principal...

      hay que revisar las direcciones IP, si hay un error, no habrá conectividad en algún enlace, verifica también la distancia administrativa de las rutas estáticas

    Sir, may I ask you? In Part 2, why do we have to shutdown g0/0/0 on R2 to get all packets? I'm still a newbie😅

    • @romeroc24
      @romeroc24  Před 2 lety

      this is necessary to test the redundancy configured previously, you created two static routes, the second static route is in case of failure

    Hi Mr Goyzueta. Why use 80 AD on command "ipv6 route ::/0 2001:DB8:ACAD:16::1 80"?
    The main point is not the solution but explanation. Your explanation is informative.
    Explanation is everything. Thank you.

    • @romeroc24
      @romeroc24  Před rokem +1

      80 is the administrative distance (AD), if the AD is low number this will be preferred over higher numbers like the AD of OSPF 110, for example.
      Thank you for all your support, I appreciate a lot

      @@romeroc24 Thank for your response Mr Goyzueta. But why especially 80 and no 90 or 100. 90 and 100 are bellow 110. Unless it is a rule, in which case the number 80 should be used.
