It's an absolute Gem for what it's now going for in 2024 even below $90 on Sale. It was worth it when it first came out too, of course. Boss and ZOOM are both incredibly great manufacturers.
I prefer longer, so I can hear lead picking compared to strumming. Besides we all get carried away when we play a new patch. Good work Chester. But no Loop demo.
I'd like to have my effects chains controlled with the expression pedal as a volume control but most chains don't contain the volume control. Can you tell me how to change the effect in position #5 in any of the chains to a Volume control...or is that even possible? Thanks.

The presets are decent if your into the them. But something about the sound is not fulfilling. I feel like it is missing something in the sound. I get a lot of errors when building sounds. I’m considering a boss gt1 now. The best feature is going to be the drum machine that you can jam with and loop over. I would say it’s an upgrade over the Vox Stomplab if your doing your hmwk and comparing.
You create a distortion patch and save it and then create a clean patch and save it to the very next slot. Then you press up and boom dirty to clean, when you wanna switch back press down..

I'm thinking of getting one of these, been playing guitar for 30 years and I've had everything from analog to digital, but now I need something cheap and very portable, I've had the Zoom MS-50g and I loved it, but it's one button form factor turned it into a one trick pony on live situations, but it had a lot more effects than this unit, would you guys recommend the Zoom G1X Four or the Mooer GE150, I've read the Zoom has terrible cab and amp simulators and distortions compared to the Mooer, but the Zoom has really great reverbs, delays and modulation effects, on the other side the Zoom runs on batteries and USB power (so it could run off a power bank in theory) while the Mooer has a lot more effects but doesn't run on batteries, has better cab and amp simulators and can combine more affects at a time
This is an amazing demo....I always feel that this pedal cannot handle high gain patches, I tend to notice some background noise/ squeals when ever I use a custom high gain patch.
Go to add amp cab after distortion (control amp - less high) enable mic on cab amp. Distortion or metal zone less tone (high)... Patch in order noise gate, compressor, metal zone, cab 4 x 12 .....
I use LTD emghz active pickup noise gate cut well, but when i use sheckter cheap guitar i notice background sound coz of the low action of neck or factory pick ups

U can add distortion and cabs inside + select mic for cab. I prefer tweak metal zone. Maybe u can try chain = Noise gate, compression, metal zone/ other + cab + reverb

Hi there ... What u can do to make your sound better is to choose the right settings - compresor, distortion,pre amp (cabs) balance the eq. If your have amp head with cabs will defenitely sounds good.Try explore more. Use amps that have mid eqs. For the video i use PRS trimonte guitar (humbucker pu)with cheap amps and cabs. (kustom model) i hope this info will help.

You can set it up for a whole set list, cycle through every effect you need for a single song. Just download zoom's guitar lab. This thing has more effects than helix, there are a stack of effects on guitar lab that you can upload to your G1x.
I recorded this using sony ax700 direct camera mic. Soumd from cheap - made in china Kustom brand amps. Thats all. I already tested this direct to interface...but make sure to use pre-amp..it sound almost the same. But more better with cabs. U just need to tweak more and learn to get that cool sound u require. It sounda good pre-amp turn on so natural either direct or with amps.
Many of the effects on this Ive tried to modify are still useless 3 or 4 is all I need. Unless someone really knows how to dial in those sounds. They have potential but sound generic not solid
yes, it works with only headphones! But i find a bit low volume, i usually turn the volume of the pedal all the way up and it's still pretty low, but audible in a silent room. To fix that, i got an adapter that can connect my headphones through the output of the pedal and it acts like it is the amp! Long story short, yes it works, but get an adapter.
Mike Anderson he’s just talking about the headphone 3.5mm female to 1/4” male adapter that comes with lots of studio headphones. You need 1/4” male to work with this and it works great.
You shud explore more about sound, u can use any effects it is not for u to decide for others. Ive been doing recording and live gig using this effects.it depends on how ur setting... Dont set wrongly u might end up sounding like crapt.

there are manuals, this one very easy to set up

it doesnt have one.. but there is empty patch that u can customize your own by using the plugin inside the program.thanks.

What about using the octaver with dry signal completely down. That might get you away for some basic backing bass. Not tried tho as not got this yet.

I dont use line in on amps. I use input on amps coz i love to use eq on amps and little reverb on amp. Its just my style.
