I actually fell asleep to this last night. I'm from the country but live where the excitement of deer at my window, raccoon at our door, and hummingbirds and Orioles at my window. A park across from me, cars whizzing by with those dreaded bass thumps ugh..but living where theres a huge wooded area, sadly when October hits, everything is gone. Cicadas are my favorite. When they start around August into September, I'm always in awe.
When everything leaves, I appreciate the silence, but with silence, you start thinking more. Sometimes focusing on the things we can't control. Pain, not seeing grandkids, pain in the butt grown children, things old people shouldn't have to deal with. Oh well! But this dear, was a sheer blessing last night. I was in severe pain and couldnt sleep. This did it. So thank you so much for giving me back the rest I needed. I'm old, very old, and if more people used natures sounds to rest or when they lay their children down to sleep. They'd feel 100% better by morning. I'm usually awake at 4am going to sleep at 2 or 3 am. I actually fell asleep at midnight and slept till 7am. I'm as happy as a pig in mud right now😂 Again, thank you!!

Summer every couple years in Georgia. This is why I can't help but spend my free time outside. It's so healing. Especially since I've experienced such a chronic bout of insomnia due to methadone detox.. 16 days no sleep (yes my brain has fractured) I'm literally having to recover and the past threw days I've slept as much as I possibly can and it's been BLISSFUL. Crazy how the body heals when you get that real sleep. Hopefully I'll be OK.

Being able to spend time outside in the healing summer weather must be really beneficial for you. It's amazing how much our bodies can heal when we get the proper sleep that we need. My childhood at grandmas!
This reminds of my childhood when my family owned a Very large orchard of nearly all non tropical fruits. I would catch a Cicada and put it in shoe box with whatever kind of leaves I would find them on!! Already at 3 I had trouble falling asleep, and the sound of a Cicada always helped fall asleep!! I have CZcams premium to avoid ads. I love ♥putting these on my TV while I work all day, and also go to sleep with it. But recently, in the last CZcams update in my FireTV Stick (and also on my Samsung smart TV), playback is pausing every 7 hours prompting me to press a button to continue listening (totally ruining the black-screen experience); the app no longer let you listen to the whole video in one shot. CZcams please get rid of the screen saver and the pauses every 7 hours.

I think you have misidentified the main bug in the recording. I hear crickets, some frogs and catidids. Cicadas are a daytime bug, whereas all of the voices in this recording come from nighttime bugs. Still cool, though, and perfect for sleeping and meditation. ❤
