I survived bowel cancer recently because of Mathew. His tireless campaigning and listing the symptoms of the disease probably saved me as it had already got to stage 4. Just had my last chemo today so missed this part of the show.
You will be missed mate.

St George Not lying to you. Got diagnosed in December, operated on January 16th started chemo with oxaliplatin and capcitebine eight weeks later. Had last infusion yesterday.
Wasn't diagnosed by a TV show, he listed the symptoms so often that when they happened to me, I knew what was going on in my body despite nine months of doctors fobbing me off.
I get it you don't like the guy, that's your choice but don't take that dislike out on me

Always watched this. Taped it and such a treat in the mornings. I grew to love not just Matthew but so many wonderful and varied guests. And how he laughed at the biggest and smallest of things. He is and as was a very NORMAL man who came into ours homes. I really really really really really hope he isn't away from TV very long. Thank you Mr Wright.

I can remember being off school ill, my mum was working as was my dad, so I was at my granny and grandas, in bed, feeling like crap, with rich teas. Tissues and a bottle of lucozade with the bumpy bottle and squeaky orange cellphane wrapping, watching the wright stuff. Awesome times even though I was ill. Thanks Matthew.
What a amazing fella, will be greatly missed !. 18 Years, that's quite a run and a legacy. Fabulous man, that 'i've had the god fortune to meet out in the wild, and to say that he's a true gentleman doesn't begin to cover it. All the very best of luck to him and hs future endeavours xx

I don’t envy your replacement, Matthew. You’re a hell of an act to follow and I don’t see anyone waiting in the wings who can bring that rare mix of engaging vibrancy, sincerity, sensitivity, wit, humour and all round genuinely decent persona to the show that you did. I’m guessing it’ll be a various guest anchor approach until, or unless, someone gives promise they have that special something that you had in spades. Thanks for the memories, buddy, you’ll be greatly missed.

He is missed but jemery vine is much better he doesnt interrupt people over the phone. Hes now doing a radio show in the afternoon and is wife is expecting a baby girl in 2019 on 14th feb Valentine day baby. A decent guy , didn’t like him as a journalist in the past but he is basically a good guy.
I didn't follow his show faithfully, dipping in and out. And I certainly didn't particularly take to his presenting style and his incredibly brusque, rude manner with his phone in guests. BUT, he did stoke the flames of debate and caused viewers to not just simply take things on the chin. He encouraged us to challenge and question, and he sure helped many viewers in many areas of need. And it says something about the man that I'd rather watch him than that smug git Richard Madeley who stood in for Matthew occasionally,lol. Good luck to you, Matthew.

Matthew has enraged me at times. And I have even tuned out for a while. But the platform he created for debate and the meeting of different minds can't be denied! He has shared his platform with many diversr voices, that you don't see on the other channels... Jasmine, Shappora, etc. I was a little sad about his send off from the show - he deserved a least a whole show devoted to him and it would have been nice for viewers to be able to ring in and share what he and the show has meant. But maybe that is not what he wanted... Which is most important. He created a Great show and has done great work. I wish Him all the very best in his future adventures. I will miss tuning in to him. Fare well Mathew.

Started to watch The Wright Stuff many years ago when back visiting my family in Scotland. Dad loved to see how you dealt with the big and small topics of the day, with humour and passion. Due to failing health he couldn't watch the show of late but I did from Barcelona. Will miss the show. Good luck to you , Matthew.

I've been up and down with the show over the many years it has been going. I'm to the right of Matthew and have often found myself frustrated by his views..........I wouldn't of changed a thing!
We need more opinions (left/right/centre) on shows such as this, not the white wash of the BBC trying to be neutral from their un-neutral position.

It's amazing how many loud mouthed little people there are who are badmouthing the man and the show. If you didn't like it, you could have got a job! You all must have watched the show on many occasions to have reached the conclusion you have. There is a button on your remote control to change channels and another one to turn it off - or was that too complicated for each of you. You were not obliged to watch it were you? I bet many of you watch Jeremy Piles or some other mind crushing nonsense.
