Are Mitei male came from west and married Naga ladies...Mitei male custome is different with other ethnic tribes. What is the real costome of Mitei male?
Meitei could able to connect with people around the globe quite earlier before other communities in Manipur. That is why Meitei culture is different from other ethnic groups. Yes, Meitei also wear old traditional costumes at rituals and ceremonies.
@@anneong3932 yes Meitei connected Indic culture around 17 AD, but you must research on how Metei had diplomatic relationship with Tai, San, Mai sinc very earlier, even the Poi n Khanung. What you see the costumes Meitei wearing isn't it simlar with modern Thai, Mongol, Indo, Malay. ❤
"Mateima" or the shortened "Meitei" is a term given by Southern Tangkhuls meaning "our people who adopted another culture". The Meitei royal family is of Tangkhul origin.
Imphal being at the crossroads of various cultures pasing through, those living there, who all have origins in the hills, in the course of centuries began to be influenced by different ideas and practices, from food to clothing. But the core remains the same as that of the hill tribes. Their most important festival to this day remains the Lai Haraoba.
@@roron-gn2iraround 17 ad? who the f told you that? the indic culture hadnt even reached uttar pradesh then.
