Nice Pattern and I love your way of keeping on reccomending "take your time".
So often mistakes are made when trying to mok the professionals, going too quickly to the next step.

I have seen different colors used for this pattern; yours is really striking can't wait to try it. Enjoy the way you took your time in building this fly.
Yo he visto diferentes colores usados con este patron: el que demostraste es muy llamativo, no puedo esperar a probarlo. Disfruto de la forma en que tomaste tu tiempo para construir esta mosca.

Nice design idea with the hot orange body. I take your word that it works best in stillwater (reservoir) fishing. I'll try it but will use lead in the thorax part instead of copper wire as weight. Thanks.

I like the choice of materials and the colors on an otherwise traditional tie. Couple of notes. You should have started further down the bend, you ended up crowding the eye. Wing case could have been wider and it would have been interesting to wrap the hackle up through the thorax. With a more substantial wing case it would have pushed the legs down around the thorax.

Thanks Mak! The bright orange thorax makes a great hot-spot. I always tie in somber earth-tones to match the naturals, I really do need to get bolder and add some brighter colors - would you believe that I don't have ANY red, pink, blue or purple flies? Need to correct that, I will have to tie up a couple for the box! Sometimes you have to "shout" to get the fishes attention eh! Happy New Year Mak! Hank

Thank you Hank, I know what you mean, up till 2014 I was tying basic , but I think brighter colours are great to attract fish, Thank you for your comment , Happy New Year my friend 😊 😊 😊

@@Makflies Mak, Fly tying season is starting here in Canada (Christmas is passed and the lakes are frozen over) so I just ordered some tungsten beads, thread, fur, marabou and strung hackles in bright colors - I told my wife that it was all your fault LOL!! I do like this variant. I can't put my finger on it, precisely, but, the inversion of hue and chroma for the thorax, as well as the transition to the rusty brown head, just look like, "triggers." Nicely tied.

@@Makflies I'm color charting tying thread, dubbing, and wire to progress from warm to cool with the same effect. I can see some very nice contrasting effects in mid-range. . . light purple/lavender. I'm not a big fan of that hue spectrum for trout, but, I'm going to give it a try.
