Viego counters: enemy team being 0/10 so you deal no damage when you possess them... suffering from success
At that point, just treat the possession as another way to access/spam your ult.
Yeah if I possess someone who is way behind I just use whatever mobility they have in their kit to gapclose and ult out
Lol I remember we used to do that with old Morde. Get the enemy adc fed, and use him as a ghost
Another tip for VIego is that to clear the jungle faster you can use your E but make sure it doesn't hit a wall (as to not reveal your location). You can also use your E to instill paranoia into the enemy, for example using it on the botlane walls make them wary of the brush, however instead you could be feigning the gank and rotating mid etc. The E usage will really make or break a good Viego player, especially at higher elos.

@@mattphyx Look into it yourself it’s pretty easy, hard to link stuff on CZcams without it getting deleted. He was copying the entire structure and content of Dobbys vids, did have better music tho which is the only reason I miss the channel lol
Cool tip, if pyke is on enemy team and executes with his ult, possessing the champ that got the “your cut” item will let Viego use it and keep the free gold.

I had this happen in my game too bards chimes stick around for a while on the map even when viego isn’t possessing him anymore
In my game I became Kindred and I was able to get her passive working for me so getting camp while being her meant boosting my stats
Another tip for viego: it is in your best interest to possess after a kill. Even if you possess someone doing terribly, chances are that 1. You are low and 2. That champ has some kind of mobility/cc you can use to jump on your next target to get a guaranteed ult
he looks op and stuff but in reality, he takes way more skill than most other champs since his kit changes depending on who he kills. possessing a weaker champ and tryna go ham on the enemy will get you killed.

That’s why you should use the weaker champs for extended periods of time only when necessary. Like for a bit of cc / a dash / team buff, then immediately ult to get rid of them. Literally just use them for saving yourself under tower and giving a heal plus an ult reset.
I don't know a main. Him since he released and i always finded ez the only hard part is getting a champ you never played before but most of the meta chams are really straight forward

Me: they don't
everychamp that is not brain dead starts with low WR, until people understand how to play him
that stat only reflect from Platinum +, and this champ takes skills. Only a few % challenger players can play him right. Just like Yone when released. Champion's OP depends on player who master it, not win rate or reddit users or cry baby (example: Akali, Aphelios)
He has 50%+ winrate in Diamond 2+ and 58% winrate in Challenger as mid laner. He takes skill to play.
im assuming most of these are junglers or mid players cuz he's a piss poor toplaner lmao

More viego research: I found that using other dashes with viego's ult will not cancel the ult. In other words, no matter when or in what direction you cast the dash, if you cast your ult, you will end up there no matter what. For example, i tried out akali on viego. I e'd backwards and ulted during the dash, but I always end up at the ult, no matter what. You can probably use this to reposition or fake out, idrk how practical this would be. It's the reason why the ult-flash combo for stealing works.
I sometimes ult an enemy and right after flash over a wall or something and still end up at the ult.I do it for style points and because im brain damaged.I do it only when hella fed doe

Because my fuckin botlane doesnt know how to damn ward and pushes all the damn time.
It's a good thing I learned to play every single champion all these years.
In team fights you have to go after your team causes a diversion steal a body and act in that role of the champ and then continue on switching body's and roles.
Example: Assasin kills ur adc but dies, you take his body zone out the enemy adc kill them take their body and position safely as an adc.

Honestly, this was one of your best videos. I never thought that you could hide your Q with W-auto-Q-auto, and I also didn't think that W-E was possible (I thought that you needed to use E first). And as someone who plays a lot of mid, I really appreciate that you focused more on mid Viego, rather than jungle Viego. Btw, did he just pick up a Bard chime at 9:17? If that's something he can do, then I'm 100% going to pick him in mid, every time an enemy support locks in Bard :D

Best tips are the w auto dash and the fact that you can W then E to reduce the slow, I didn’t even know the 2nd one for a pretty long time as a viego main

Just like you can cast E while channeling W, you can cast E while casting the Recall(before 8 seconds cast) too. To put it simply, just press E and Recall at the same time.

How to counter viego: *grief and feed*
I actually found out that you can cast abilities as soon as you finish the animation of the first attack with empowered autos. So you can q, wait for cd, auto, q during first auto (which cancels the q animation entirely), tap w for stun/mark/auto reset, auto, and ult during the first auto anim. You cut off a lot of time and anims to get the same damage very fast.
Viego is arguably the highest skill cap champ. Having to know every champions kit for possessions is huge

Some quick tip: Botrk does more dmg than Kraken. So if you wan't dmg with your first item rather buy Botrk than Kraken.
I only use kraken if i want to one shot the enemies
@@CookieMistaken yea but you still do more dmg by getting botrk. Your fast dmg combo AA Q AA W AA does more dmg with botrk. About 150 against a 2k hp target about 100 against a 1.5k hp target. Only if you get a 2 crits in Kraken does about the same dmg. If you add another auto to proc kraken passive a 2nd time it evens it out a bit but even then botrk does about 50dmg more. Tested that a lot I'm currently working on a Viego chart that compares dmg output of different builds. Gonna put it into the Viegomains subreddit when it's done.

Yea he’s a solid top lane pick, bought him for €10 a couple days ago and he’s very flexible, he can go mid and top and build tri force if you want to build a bruiser build, but if the enemy top laner builds armour early you will lose most trades

imo hes the most busted champ for me. i have gotten 4 S+ with him in a day and my kda is like 5 with him lol. im bad at every other champ so i think im just gonna one trick viego until the day i die
@@Derpster_ Hey man if he works for you then spam him! I was thinking more about high mmr and pro play since that's where "viability" actually means something. And Riot tends to balance around that.
Pro tip: becoming Fiddlesticks permanently gives you his warding passive for the whole game. Not sure if bug or not.
