My Uncle Brian Lyons wrote the song, "The Ballad of Billy Reid". Brian would've given the song out for bands to play. I can't remember the exact details as in who first he gave it to and so on. But my Dad said told me a few years ago about how The Wolfe Tons were one of the bigger bands to get it for sure and actually play it. There's a possibility he mentioned The Dubliners possibly were also given a copy. But because of their up coming fame and already being censored by RTE multiple times we can't find a version of it online or on CD because of how pro-Republican it is. They probably done it during their Early unrecorded pub performances
