Well both are really unimpressive when it comes to bass perfomance. Highs are WAY better on the more expensive version. When it comes to the classical music test, both sounded super unatural to me but I guess they're not made for this kind of music.
You have to hear speakers in real life to hear what their bass sounds like because low frequencies are always less pronounced in videos. I have the Wharfedale Delta 12 speaker cabs which are the newer ones of these LX12E and I can tell you my Delta 12 cabs do not suffer from lack of bass when you hear them in real life.
