  • @mankin49
    @mankin49 Před 10 měsíci +3

    I’ve got a 1.6 turbo and a 2.4 non turbo Sonata (both 2017) the turbo is way more fun AND economical (40mpg highway) but the 7 speed dual clutch transmission is a bit jerky at low speeds but excels on the highway. I can cruise at 100 all day .
    The 2.4 is a more traditional driving car but not as economical.

      Was a manufacturing defect where not all the sand from the casting was being removed from the crank if I remember right. • @TESTDRIVEFREAK
      @TESTDRIVEFREAK  Před 2 lety +1

      Most standard tyres at all normal cars are set to 120 mph or more, so plus over +10 to +20 mph no problem, we had 130 mph tyre and do often 150 mph and never had problem, if straight line no problem because not much stress, if light curves and 150 mph then many stress on one side. We do test every car topspeed on german autobahn and had many experience. I had rented one time Lamborghini huracan and we didnt check tyre before and do topspeed and hit 190 or almost 200 mph and then later we realized that tyre was for maximum 145 mph but it did hold. So i think over +10 or +20 mph tyre limit is no problem because of tolerance

    • @dakota5041
      @dakota5041 Před rokem

      Most tires will handle excessive speed over the rating for a short period of time if they have proper pressures, they used to rate the speed by an hour of sustained speed, at that point overheating and separations become a factor

      Secondly, the 2.4GDI probably will do 150mph but the suspension and chasis aren't designed for safe handling.
