  • Today I change the front brake pads on my 2013 Ford Escape. The original brake pads were still in place with about 84,000 miles on them. They needed to be replaced quite bad. This just so happens to be a very simple task to do as I show you in the video. This video should help people with Ford Escape models 2013-2016.

Nice video. One suggestion: when compressing the caliper piston, I place a small 1" piece of wood between the C clamp and piston.

Thank you man, had the rotors, pads and tires replaced when I bought our 2016 Escape so I have yet to do them, watched your video to confirm its a straightforward job still without any "special" tools needed. Glad Ford kept it simple on this SUV.

Left out the part about how hard it actually is to get the lug nuts off of Ford escapes due to the plastic covers at that basically melt to the lug nuts

LOL: your clip caption says ".....FRONT Brake Pad Replacement .........." yet your clip clearly shows REAR brake pad replacement. Anyway, great job on the rear

I think you missed the shims on the brake pads. I just did my 2016 and the brakes made terrible noises then looked over the old brakes and realized there were tiny shims on the pads. Problem solved
