I spent many a sea day on the Top Side bar; peaceful, relaxing and it had a great ocean view as it was higher up. Apparently, that's where the ship's US-based version of Serenity is, according to bar staff. For Aussie cruisers, it really is a hidden-away gem.

Thanks for that. Been on Splendor once. I'd forgotten just how hideous the decor is on board this ship. I didn't think it was possible to design a ship with such a god-awful fitout. Voyage was okay, food okay but I couldn't get over the design. Wow.
It all depends if you have my time dining or anytime dining. If you have my time dining it'll be at the gold pearl restaurant at either 5:30 or 7:45 If you have anytime dining that'll be in the black pearl between 5:15 and 9:30. As for sitting by yourself you'll need to talk to the matr'ed or who you book for anytime dining. You can also have dinner at the lido buffet

Yeah, the layout is a little annoying especially with the the golden pearl at the back of the ship. Glad you enjoyed it.

I was on the same ship from the 19th to 27th i miss it so much, looking forward to sailing with it this years new years sail.

The first day or two most people were but it quickly went away when they realised they weren't enforcing it.

When I was on in January they had that rule but very few people followed it

It would have been the time that I filmed. I believe I filmed it around 10 and the nightclub didn't really start going until 11
