Pretty much every Japanese and Chinese VA can sing, so it's great to see the English VAs singing as well.
FYI, Niko Gerentes voices Clockie, a mascot for what's essentially a planet-wide theme park of sorts. In game, Clockie sounds similar to Mickey Mouse, which makes Niko's singing voice even more impressive.
hell, singing is part of their vocal training. its more or less a requirement to some extent
I remember some of the VAs mentioning they can't sing well, more specifically Camden Sutkowski and Jordan Haro, both in the 1st section. Yeah, calling them out on that lie, they were fantastic, as was everyone else.
I imagine what they mean by that is that they don't have a broad voice range so they can't go very high or very low, but what do I know, maybe they're just being humble.
Amalee and CyYu are both youtuber who post their own anime covers.
Amalee's been doing covers of anime songs in english for years.
It's how I first found her.

few days late, but some fun facts - Stephen Kelly, DR Screwllum's VA, is an award winning opera singer who, among other things, has performed for the Queen. He did the parts he was asked to do, and then for the hell of it sung the ENTIRE thing again but in a lower register, and gave that to Nick to use as well. It was sprinkled throughout the song.
It's like 80% of the known VA cast for the game. Skylar Davenport (march's VA) was literally fitted in last minute after nearly everything was finished as Nick finally managed to get in contact with her.
Also, Nick does all the arranging himself, and sings each part to give everyone an example to perform to. Since this came out before the full english release of the song, the last part is actually his own translated lyrics (he did the same thing for Interstellar Journey). CyYu has mentioned it's insane how much work behind the scenes he does to make it turn out as well as he does.

Crazy thing is alejandro saab (CyYu) said he was sick when he sang his parts for this song and he still killed that falsetto and if u want more stuff from amalee she sang the entire english cover for one piece film red when she voiced uta
The character Niko Gerentes voices is Clocky, a sort of Mickey Mouse parody from the recent story chapters. Bill Butts is the voice of Owlbert, a character who isn't actually in game but does most of the presentations and announcements for upcoming events and characters

Aventurine is voiced by Camden sutkowski, aventurine is also camdens first character in voice acting. At the end vocals u could a let’s go from aventurine. Camden is truly a great voice actor!
the genshin chinese VAs also do a lot of covers and are really good. i think a lot of them are opera singers or something
Thin thing is they are voice actors. They have complete control of their vocal. With a bit of training they can be really good singers.
I find it strange when people are surprised when EN VA can sing but find it perfectly normal if a CN or JP VA can sing. like their livelihood is their voice. some may not be able to sing but that's might just be the minority. they don't often get asked to do covers of songs. Amalee the VA of Uta wasn't even given the chance to do an EN cover of that character singing when they did the dub for the One Piece movie. she's gone and done a cover of all the songs on her own and posted them on YT. it's a shame really especially when people constantly shit on EN VA's.
Amalee literally has a channel where she does EN DUBS of Anime songs for over 10 years. she's been a VA that entire time.
It’s really unfair, especially because if you look at videos when people ask how they got voice acting a lot of them say it’s because of musical theater

Why wouldn't the song be good? It's professionally-made. Also, even if it's not by then, Hoyo-Mix, Mihoyo's in-house music studio, _never_ misses. That said, the VAs do a great job singing their parts, and Nicholas did an amazing job arranging it all.

voice acting does take skill so im not surprised most if not all VAs in the industry can at least sing
most voice actors were people who came from theatre backgrounds
Most folks who are good with voices are people who will likely be able to sing well, they already got good voice control
I would be surprised if VAs couldn't sing; the kind of confidence and vocal gymnastics required for voicing different characters should transfer well to singing.

Most professional voice actors can sing at the very least good because of how much control they have over their own voice

I mean, voice actors work explicitly with their voices. It's in the name of the job. It's not surprising that some, if not a lot, even a majority of them can sing. Plus, there's editing and mixing.
So the character images you see are the characters of the game and the names are the voice actors for the characters.
