Duuuude.....you are one of a kind!.....i propagate my plants all the time!! It's so much fun!!! I feel the vibes. I just can't ignore you. Great video!! Thank you!!!
Thanks Elmer!!!!
I love your videos. They're always so informative!
Thanks so much Dani!!!
Great information thanks for sharing…I find myself pinching off dead or dying leaves because I believe pests are attracted to and can hide in all the debris that the plant no longer has any use for…even when they’re not my plants!
Yes, I also do this so pests don't set up on the plant
Absolutely beautiful amazing thank you for sharing lovely
Thanks Jillian
Looking good 👍🏻
Thanks!!!
You explain things really good
Thank you!
It is good for them! I have recently cut the tops off of my leggy aglaonema and three dracaenas. My aim is to end up with quirky looking dracaenas and a compact aglaonema. The marginata cutting rotted but the original plant is throwing out a new shoot, the compacta has two new shoots and the fragrans cuttings have all rooted.
That is so awesome Connie!
As always I enjoy your videos Jeff, greetings from Robin in FL 🐊
Aww...thanks so much!!! From chilly (fall weather) in Saskatchewan
You are extremely knowledgeable. Thanks for this information.
Thanks so much Ida!
I really enjoyed this video, very informative. I especially enjoyed the Jade plant segment because I acquired a young Jade plant from a Bonsai convention early spring of this year. I had been meaning to look up additional specifics such as pruning. I am thankful for you and your videos, so, thank you. I'm not sure what you're profession is but, it should be a professor or teacher! 😜
Thanks so much! I am actually in healthcare....not a teacher lol
For sure n the Delicosia. I am air layering three top branches and totally ditching the rest of the plant. I just can not handle a 6 foot tall plant like that. Way too large. I love these plant trimming and root trimming videos. After just doing the third and hopefully last spraying of every plant I have within the last 20 days I am so over the need to lift huge plants. I will say I now have my plant spraying down from three days to one and a half. But they are hard work kind of days.
Sounds like you are doing a lot of work!!!
@@EverythingPlants HA not plant related and yet it sort of is. I also spent two days on my belly dragging myself along under low spots under my new ,last summer, enclosed sun porch hanging insulatoin. OMG I like to have died. Not to mention the tight space terrrors I had to keep talking myself down from. For 73 I am in pretty good shape but I discovered muscles I never knew I had. And leg cramps. YIKES I had eye surgery today so will now have enforced rest time for te next ffivr days. Why I was in a bit of a panic to get the plants all their third spray Hoping to get all stages of the thrips developement with staggered spray timesas the lable suggests.
Great informative video! Love the way you explain step by step! I did a big prune/prop on the weekend!
Which plant did yoh do?
I LOVE that jade plant.
It is my #1 plant. Do you have one?
Yes, but it’s only a year old. I killed them all off before till I watched your video on how not to overwater them.
@@normatrewhella9003 now they will grow large for you!
Great info as usual! Thank you!
Thanks Fabrizia!!!
Depends entirely on the houseplant and when and how you cut. Cutting monsteras unless you're going to propagate them is a waste of time. But go nuts with pothos.
Do you have any videos on palms or fruit trees?
Sorry, I don't.
To cut off brown tips should I use regular scissors or pruning scissors? Does it matter?
Carolyn palmer Can u do a care video on the beatle peperomia next to the pothos in the beginning of the video?
I did about a month ago! Here it is

Have you ever tried to prune off a longer portion of your pothos and instead of chopping it all up putting the whole thing in a circle along the top of the soil to root from nodes that way? I saw someone suggest it months ago, I think Nick Pillegi (sp?) on here, but never saw an update on it. He claimed that air roots would grow like in water and then put out new growth points. I am intrigued but mine isn't long enough to cut and try yet!
I have did this exact thing today in an upcoming scindapsus video. I had some hair pins already holding down a stem but NO ROOTS. I ended up wrapping and pushing it down into the soil again. This will be my third attempt with the two previous failures.
@@EverythingPlants my tribuii has a hair pin holding it down BC it was flopping all over like a living medusa... So far no roots or rot but it's already rooted since it was just a psycho stem.... I hear they take longer though than pothos. Will def be looking for that video BC somehow more plants are better even though I'm out of space right now 🤣
How do you get a jade plant to root thanks .
Pruning monstera is more intimidating- you don’t prune between node just the entire leaf?

I love watching your videos. Have you ever counted your houseplants?
Hahaha....I'm afraid to count them all
Second question: Do you ever look at your Jade and think you could sell it for like 2k? HAHA I would always be looking at that beauty like "I love you but you're also my cash cow just in case!" hahaha
I had my large 15 year old up for sale a while back because I didn't have room (glad no one bought it) It was listed for 80 and no takers. I now have it downstairs under a grow light. I took and grew three cuttings off that plant and that is one of them in the video. It is honestly priceless because I took those cuttings with my kids....we each have one. I would never sell them.
@@EverythingPlants when I read the first part I thought you meant a 15 year old kid 🤣 they really are priceless though! I don't know why someone wouldn't have spent 80, it was clearly meant to be with you! A crappy unknown species bonsai at the grocery store is 60 bucks and a basic tiny Jade is like 20 unless they get in a bunch! Heck, my global green pothos was 50 something 😭 and I didn't even want it except for the fact everyone wanted one haha but it is one of my favorites now that it's grown and had some sports
