    What if the union is obviously on the side of the supervisor and post master all the time and disregards your concerns?

      Take it to real civil court and hire your own lawyer and take the supervisor directly to court, or whoever your discrepancy is with.

      File with the NLRB and the BBB as well

      Take it your sub-local Exboard or Chief Steward &/or to your member resource center or local board.
      Sometimes members don’t like the answer. If it’s not contractual it’s not grievable. There also needs to be a paper trail/documentation to back up the claim. In Oregon you can also file with BOLI.
      However, if a particular steward/stewards are always siding with management there is a clear problem & it should be investigated. I’d also recommend becoming a steward😊 Says the organizer to the member. But I was a sub-local leader for many years & I know it happens. It’s wrong & needs to be fixed!

      Make sure that's factually true and you have hard evidence of those facts that would stand up in a court of law. Approach the union local informally or the national rep. Explain your side. If they still stonewall, file a Department of Labor complaint under the LMRDA as a duty of fair representation complaint. DOL will investigate and make a determination and may obtain remedies.

    I have a Pension grievance. My Local slow walked my Pension Application months after my first payment was due. Payments started coming months after my first payment was due. Then told me I would lose those payments because the Application took longer than expected. I lost a few months of payments. This is outrageous.

    Isn't it a conflict of interest, what company has its own union, paying their own employees to represent union members paying monthly $60 union dues, gaining no money for winning grievances, when you can, for free, file an EEO within 45 days of Usps offenses, winning up to $300,000. for discrimination and up to $4 million for retaliation?
    Usps union is complicit with Usps management, practicing patterns of racism, retaliation against whistleblowers, and discrimination and retaliation against injured on duty disabled employees! See McConnell vs Usps, Pittman vs Usps, Glover vs Usps, and many, many more cases for decades!
    Past 5 years Usps paid out $5,631,795. for sexual harassment.
    Exercise your legal rights under federal protection Laws, No Fear act of 2002. Prohibited personnel practices, due process, equality act of 2010, civil rights act chapter of 7, rehabilitation act of 1973 (504), and disability act.

      Same here. The UAW is simply been taken over by an ideological movement and they couldn’t care less about workers and workers rights. They just want their dues and to use those dues for their movement.

      Depends on what your local contract says. We had time on the clock to meet with members, write grievances, prepare for grievance meetings, & attend grievance meetings. Your union is only as strong as your contract language & members enforcing it.

      If the union is not properly investigating you can write a letter to the union's headquarters or even file a lawsuit against the union for misrepresentation.

    I was misrepresented by a union representative and quite a job with horrible management. I was ill informed and offered low pay at another bad comany in 2017. I came back to try and get a job now that they pay living wages and its the same old gate keeping crap.

    What if the Shop Stewart fail to informed me I had the option of filling a grievance? How many days do we have to file grievance after termination.

      At my job you have 3 days to file a grievance. Your union may be different. Ask your shop steward/committeeman or chairman.

      It all depends on the timeline in your contract. If you’re in a grievance situation you should be participating in the process. That includes reading contract language & keeping with timelines.

    I'm going through this right now. My union claim they file grievance for me. I'm suppose to sign paperwork. Wrongful termination on their behalf.

      You are focus on the wrong thing? What was your violation and what do the company have evidence on you doing wrong.... remember they have bus cameras for a reason. Can you prove they were wrong in your terminiation. It is that simple.

    The UAW refused to write a standardized work grievance which is contractual
    The UAW refused to represent me in a Weingarten rights violation against the company
    The UAW is saying they can’t win the grievances I’ve put forth all of which were protected activity
    The UAW as I’ve been out terminated for a year and a half has not said one word of what they are doing in my defense and they are now trying to force me into a last chance agreement which essentially feeds me to the wolves

    what about traitors to the union from rattifying and adoption into federal language by committing fraud using enterprise contract law in claimant language (reversal of provisions under law) that which outside of union rattified. planting an independant flag...divergent to the right to freely travel unmolested, their persons and belongings in parametered people vs. admiralty to individual that recognize belongings as foreign in origin inanimate at the time rights is to citizenry. bill as a formation of an address to grievance in their persons at the time and formation of a working government vs. foreign enterprise without union address as stated in declaration. 'we the people' to address in bill writ that we towards a working government of our people whether taxed and or travel. the entire premise to the founding as declared.
