- Two robberies occurred Thursday in East Palo Alto on a recently-opened footbridge that allows pedestrians to cross over Highway 101, according to the East Palo Alto police department. Maria Medina reports. (6-14-19)

Joe Smith im not justifying anything crime is always going to happen as long as there is haves and the have nots. All i said is as the wealth gap continues to widen so drastically like it is in the bay area low income people with little to no resources or options will start to resort to more crime. Criminals commit muggings, robberies, pickpocketing, burglaries, mail theft, shoplifting because it's for more lucrative and easier than working a low-end job that they can't even do because they are unemployable, have a sh!tty work ethic, and will steal from the employer. They access cash from the wallets, sell the laptop for several hundred or thousand, sell the mobile phone for a few hundred, run fraudulent spending on the credit cards, buy gift cards and prepaid credit cards with the victims' credit cards, then extract it for cash. They the victims' information to commit identity fraud. Stop defending these @ssholes!
