- Built-in update checker to tell you when you need to update
- Worlds
- Heat (you can give cells some "heat" and it'll make them update more chaotically)
- Blueprints (allows you to save a selected part of the grid to a P4 level code and load P4 level codes as structures ready for you to place down, there are also some built-in ones that can be accessed via tools) (tho not original, it's heavily inspired by Mystic Mod schematics)
- Invisible cells
- Grid tabs (only for normal editor, not supported in multiplayer or worlds, allows you to edit multiple levels at once)
- Wrap mode

Next update is also gonna allow you to disguise cells as other cells, which combined with invisibility can make some extremely hard puzzles

4:31 This reminds me of the time I benchmarked TPC and got shocked at how good it actually did
I disabled rendering, and told the game to load a nuke and run as many ticks as it can for some time and then tell me the TPS (ticks per second) it got
At the start it was slow, but then, because of 17 lines of code I added mostly as a joke, the game immediately jumped from like 1 TPS to 1828 TPS (thats one tick every ~0.547 milliseconds)
Basically I told the game to skip most of the subticks if the grid is aware that there are no types of cells in it that would allow any cells to move, thus, essentially checking ahead of time if the generators would do anything without even iterating over all the generators.
Since the nuke filled up the grid, and there was nothing that would stay there and mark the grid as "movable", the grid became aware that it was impossible for a cell to move (the grid was at maximum capacity), so the (at the time) 2nd slowest subtick, the "gens" subtick (for normal generators), did nothing. Which is how the grid became fast.
It would be funny if someone made the worst cell machine remake possible

I still can't believe that a single game jam game has an entire community like this and that many remakes and mods.
Do any of these run on windows 8? My Win10 laptop broke and I cant use it so I'm using my spare computer.
I actually started a cellular automata where you program cells, unfortunately that fell into obscurity. I remade a crucial part of it recently, and I just got the idea to merge them together and create CMAM, Cell Machine Assembly Mod.
Shouldn't the acronym be CMAM?

Imagine a hide and seek mode in which the game is multiplayer and the hiders are enemies and the seeker is a moving trash cell in a map and the trash cell has to find all the hiders

Any Linux version should work, but some issued chrome books are incompatible. Also, don’t assume genders/pronouns.

btw what is this game about? i like sandbox games like minecraft, terraria snd GMOD so this seems like a good pick
its a zero player simulation. quite difficult to get into, but incredibly fun when you understand it.

I think we should make a texture pack for celLua so that it looks like mystic. The celLua textures just look ugly, and I don’t really know why.
But celllua animations are pretty good though, and a texture pack might not really work with the animations(idk it might)

@@AtomicalYT stop dissing on it, CelLua is a unique mod. One thing you forgot to say is the textures are amazing, that’s what changes it from a “modern remake”.
@Rob’s Stuffz I hope you realize that:
1. Looks are submissive. Not everyone will agree that it looks great.
2. I was referring to the fact that all it has are a ton of cells whilst remakes like Quell have tons of speed, Jell and TPC have multi-player, plus TPC has a lot of other stuff.
CelLua has many *cells*, but it still doesn't have as many *features* as other remakes.
Of course, whether CelLua is still great is up to the individual, I also like it, but my point still stands.
id personally stick to the original cmmm

i think you should really look into a project by a person called xima, it's basically cell machine but 3D and with a looooot more possibilities than any of the cell machine remakes u shown imo (: (search xima voxel engine to find his project on yt)
edd also started working on a mc datapack to do this but i don’t think he ever finished it
