Lenovo ThinkPad T420 Not Booting | 2100 Detection Error On HDD0

It happenened to me as well, the reason is I pulled the hard disk out with little force. Afterwards it did not work when I replaced the NVME HDD. It did not work. Several times I removed the connector from motherboard and replaced, tried some cleaning in-between.. still I was getting only "2102 Detection error on Storage device (Main HDD)". Around 3 hours passed like that. Still no luck. Then additionally opened NVMe card metal case by unscrewing and then detatch the card and re-attachhed it. Then now I got slightly different error message "2100 Detection error on Storage device (Main HDD)". Then I tried again, but this time just only disconnected the cable at both side that connects HDD and Motherboard and then re-attached it. Now it started working OK eventually. Now almost past 6 hours continuously working as normal system . So my suggestion is that do not come to conclusion that the HDD NVME card become faulty/dead and do not take the system (if you are able to check the system with some hardware knowledge) to technician as they would check few minutes and dump the card and suggest us to buy a new card easily. //Sorry for my English//

Mano I have one of these and bought a msata to use in it, but it's giving an error the name and this. 2101: Detection error on hdd2 (mini sata) helps me pfv do not want to lose my ssd.

No need to buy new Hard Disk, just replace it's a Hard Disk connection issue. Even if you replace with New HDD/SSD there will be the same error.
It's a fault of all Lenovo Laptops.
