Kara has no real combat experience an barely had any time to adapt to her powers. The movie proved that she never stood a chance even with unlimited retry’s and Flash’s interventions she was stuck in a canon event.

One huge factor zod never left his containment suit when he was fighting supergirl so he was nowhere near as powerful as the version that fought superman.
Zod had more time to absorb the Suns energy in Man of Steel.

idk considering Superman was able to defend himself so well against the other two kryptonians, plus zod at his full potential, goes to show how different his status is to Supergirls due to him being more used to having his powers and control over them.
Superman has 30+ years of absorbing solar radiation than zod and supergirl. The only advantage zod and his army had over superman was their experience and training in fight, which superman did not have and even that didn't last long.

In MoS, Superman was near death by za world destroyer, and after a few minutes with sunlight, he regained the strength to beat up Zod

I love the scene of Superman destroying the world engine. It’s that moment where we really get to witness Superman learning how he is even more powerful than he believed. He is only getting more ridiculously strong through the entire last hour of the movie📈☢️💥🔥✨⚡️⭐️🌙🌎🌪️🌤️☀️⛅️🌬️❄️🌩️💦🌊 becoming stronger than Mother Nature and being planet level in 1 movie.
Hopefully we get to see him in live action when he’s as powerful as the galaxies and universes he travels across in seconds and bends the laws of physics, living outside of space and time having enough power to officially do anything 🤯

They nerfed Kara bad and had very very little experience and was locked up most of her life and was exposed to the sun for a day
It's not even close, not only does Supergirl lack experience, but she lacks exposure to sunlight. If she had more exposure to the sun, maybe she would be able to stand more of a chance against Superman, but who knows for sure.
Superman beated an adapted Zod, Kara couldn't beat a non adapted Zod with the Flashes reseting the timeline, the point of the movie was that Flash messed up super hard because she was no Superman and without him that world was done for.
This isn't a fight, it's a slaughter, Superman has to be careful not to punch her too hard because he might kill her with a punch like unadapted Zod did

Superman, easily. Zod literally kills her everytime and Superman defeated Zod brutally. Plus Superman is the chosen one and she's not. only reason Zod got rid of Superman in that alternate reality Supergirl is in is because he was a baby dude. Try doing that to Superman as a man

Kara is a great character, in my opinion, she's just as good as Superman and she's an absolute power house, however, I think she's loosing this one.
Ya she’s one amazing character and such a hers actress that played the roll. But Superman is just simply on his own level and his durability that makes him basically indestructible, his speed and ability to adapt and use more forms of energy as he gets older just shows that he has the best 🧬 🧬 out of any other kryptonian we’ve ever seen. Still think supergirl is such a great add to bring to the big screen. Hopefully the DC universe gets revamped the right way, and we get to see more of her, even possibly alongside superman in the future. Nothing would be more epic than those two together.
How is she a great character, she the original gender swap of him, with less razzle dazzle. I swear only simps like her. At power girl attempts to change her super name!! In no history is superhero ever beating superman unless hack writers do it, and with their sales low because of crap like that. Good luck.

Not only did Superman successfully defeat Zod, while Supergirl failed, but Superman just absorbed more solar energy from the yellow sun, while Supergirl barely absorbed solar energy and didn't adapt to her powers. She also fought some pretty powerful villains and yes she took a beating at times but ultimately beat them all. Had some pretty impressive strength feats too. Lifted Fort Roz, which weighs 1 million tons. Also the key to the fortress of solitude, also weighing that much. Tv Supergirl wins this one.

Not only had she been in the sun for such a short period of time, she also had no experience with her powers. She wasn't learning to adjust to superstrength and superspeed over her lifetime. She was learning on screen. Think she was practicing her fighting style and flying while locked in a cage?

Clark took Doomsday's spike through the heart and kept fighting. Kara got stabbed by a thin blade and died almost instantly... many times.

He didn't die until Doomsday exploded all that Kryptonite tainted energy out, which is why Supes let out the sonic scream that traveled around the world. If Supes had pulled the spike out of his chest, he would have healed up within seconds.

Superman Bathed in the Sun for pretty much his entire life, which is one reason he had an advantage against Zod in the first place. Kara only had exposure to the sun for less than a day, while Zodd and his Kryptonions had at least several days of exposure. Kara gets mopped by every Kryptonioninin the movie. She was probably the weakest Kryptonion there. If she had more sun exposure, it would probably be a different story.
You arc wrong... Those Kryptonians never actually adapted to utilize sunlight... So they are just strong here due to earths gravity being weak...zod is master combatant and war general of krypton... Even though Supergirl is faster and stronger than un adapted zod.. He is more skilled and fast enough to time her in a fight!!! A trained fighter who can lift 100 pounds can kill an untrained guy who can lift 300 pounds.

Remember the scene in MOS where zod absorbs sunlight directly and honing his senses..!! The super strength and durability comes from the density of krypton and the gravity which way greater than earth.. Only after adapting absorbing sunlight they can unlock their abilities like flight and heat vision

Just like how older buff men are tougher than little girls in the real world, older buff Kryptonian male is sure to be tougher than a little Kryptonian female.

i dont know if this matters but in the movie barry did say that earth was going to fall no matter what because it was a flash point or whatever the term is called; so i dont think its fair to compare kara and kal because kara was going to fail and die no matter what. furthermore if kara did have the same experience(not necessary the same childhood for obivous reasons) as kal and was exposed to sun for the same amount of time i think the fight would be closer and i think supergirl would win because those going into a fight with intent to win/kill usually win.
