I play in a loud ass rock band and sometimes when we finish a show we listen to this stuff on the drive home to chill out. Little moments that make life nice sometimes.
I played bass/drums in a band once and we did something similar, time to time. The quiet, contemplative moments in life are important, a part of what makes life life, I guess.
One of the best bonus tracks I’ve ever heard. Normally they’re either just ok or even bad but this is actually one of my favorites from all of _Music Has the Right to Children_ I think.
As the 90s nears its end with this album, there's a feeling of melancholy for the past beside impending dread for the coming absurdity of our present that borders on comical. Thats my interpretation anyway.
At first I was thinking 'ah, another fan-made video'... after a while, however, I really started liking it. Awesome video. I love the bird sequence around the 5 minute mark.
I wonder if Boards of Canada have seen this? It's fantastic! Beautiful sunsets and imagery which goes so well with the music! Well done for doing such a brill video :)
I read something on a website a few years ago that identified the spoken words in this video as 'popsic' as in - someone saying popsicle but the end cut off. There's a high probability I am reading too much into this, but after thinking about it some more, I wonder if Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin are using the sample to mean 'pop sick' - i.e. getting sick of pop music. Just a thought and feel free to tell me I'm crazy!
A lot of people say MHTRTC is nostalgic and peaceful but with the exception of one or two songs i REALLY dont see it. This one in particular sounds like it features the screams of the damned
I nearly lost my entire s**t when they took this video down for a spell. I was LITERALLY bereft. Fast forward to a coupla weeks ago and I feel altogether human again. BOARDS OF HAPPINESS

Don't think these guys are just ambient music wallpaper music, they know what they're doing
it's just like Prichard D. Jams said. Listen to FEED ME WEIRD THINGS by SquarePusher, and read the back of the CD release..
That bird sample is everything in this song.
czcams.com/video/h8RAeO74nuk/video.html that bird sample appears around the 20sec mark
Yes! I was like...wait, that's a seagull! Took me a while thinking it was some hip-hop off-the-wall made up sound effect.
It's something
No. It's nothing.
this entire song is so comforting in a weird way
ay nice pfp
No it isn't
finally, the footage of seagulls and audio of seagulls are paired together.

That's what I always thought as well
this is probably one of the best outro tracks i've heard on an album. it's quite eerie yet simultaneously smooth and comforting
So glad i had the chance to watch this again. It was blocked for over a year. Cheers for such a masterpiece.
Yeah, wtf happened
Buy the album already. Absolute masterpiece

Purely, and simply - the finest unofficial BoCA video. Everything about it works, and there is no explanation as to why.
This song is evidence that magic is real.

I liked this song before it appeared on Six Feet Under. I appreciated the moment that it played in one of the most fucked up moments of the series.
