Why aren't people sharing their success stories of passing the Nala exam through the Preppy program? I would love to hear their stories.

I am trying to become a certified paralegal. I have 15 years of experience working as a legal assistant. Do I qualify to take the NALA Certified Paralegal exam without having a college education, just based on my legal assistant work, or would i need to take a training course such as the one you offer?

      Hey Jennie,
NALA has three pathways for eligibility. The first is if you complete a paralegal program like Preppy's program.
The second is having a bachelors degree, with atleast 1 year of paralegal work experience.
The third is with paralegal work experience of atleast 5 years + 20 CLEs.
Not sure if your work experience as a legal assistant would count towards this.
However, you can get in touch with NALA for more information. Here's their website -

      Hey Rene,
I totally get where you're coming from, but there is a myth among students that they need to attend an ABA-approved Paralegal program. Not the case!
Most firms typically don't care if you went to an ABA approved program… There aren’t many out there, and plus an ABA-Approved Program requires 2 years of study and likely student loans since they’re so expensive.
Here’s what you do NEED though: the right paralegal training, a University Certificate and NALA Certification.
Now, coming back to Preppy -
The program is through an accredited University. And you get a University Certificate for your Paralegal training, when you complete the program. You’ll get to hang that on your wall in the office.
Plus, after completing the program, you’ll be ready to crush the certification exams, and become a Certified Paralegal from NALA.
Finally, you also get an externship opportunity, so that you can get real-life work experience, even before you start working.
All of these things you get with Preppy help you to be job-ready as a Paralegal.

This is not a lawyers program, this is a paralegal one, if you want to have an aba approved program enroll into a law school at uni.

Hey @orresguzmanabogado that's the correct way to look at it...if you're choosing a law school (to be a lawyer/attorney) you'll need an ABA-approved program...for Paralegals that's not required! Getting a university certificate and the NALA certification are the gold standards for Paralegal :)
