She was AMAZING! For just having gotten a brief tutorial on how to breathe and then 9.1 G's shortly into the flight! She shut her eyes briefly on the major G's but she was just concentrating. No passing out. The pilots are amazing. They have to pull those G's while still operating the plane with eyes wide open. She should consider a career change! She totally could handle it. Pretty hard to G-loc in that short period of time, though. Besides, Viper has a serious recline in the seat which makes the G's much more tolerable than say a NAVY jet. She kinda seemed like she wanted to tap out there for a little bit, but I'll give her credit for regaining her composure and not ending the flight early.

She rocks! I had the same ride for winning a weapons load competition in the late 80's. Pulling 9g's hurts! I really think the pilot was trying herd to put her through the wringer but she had the last laugh. She's a top Surgeon General Medic in the USAF. She can now say for sure how G's can react on your body. She should be proud of her performance.

I remember my ride backseat F/A-18D. 2.5 hour recon sortie with a tanker refuel over the Queensland Coast of Australia! Pulled a total of 8 g's on the biggest turn. I about DIED! He is being nice trust me! We did these armed recce runs (POPS) where the jet drops from about 10k to about 2k in seconds. At the halfway when we hit the tanker I felt I had played a full game against the Philadelphia Eagles by myself! Once is a lifetime experience!

Silly question but I always wondered how does one transition from being affected by intense G’s to being able to actually operate one of these machines and be so unaffected that you can literally talk while doing so. Is it just repeated exposure until your body adjusts? Is that what this passenger is doing? I mean obviously you wouldn’t be placed in the drivers seat if you are having to constantly do the hick maneuver and/or in danger of passing out right?

And constantly speaking, too! The pilot suffers all the G-forces, too, and must flex his muscles quite a lot during those manouvers. He doesn't sound like running out of breath even after talking immediately after high G turns.
