    This was a benchmark ZX Spectrum demo. Everybody had to see it. The guys had an arsenal of coding tricks that left many people dumbfounded.

    Fk people don't realize how much time went into this. Coding in assembler was absolutely crazy...

    Anyone here got this on the YS covertape and had to do the crazy de-archiving thing using your own tape? It was worth the wait though, I'd never seen or heard anything like it.

    43:15 for ZX spectrum standards, this tune is really badass. Sounds better than Atari 8-bit. Ziutek is a genius!

    1000+ moving balls on-screen and no apparent slowdown, anybody?

    • @maxiwamoto7373
      @maxiwamoto7373 Před 3 lety

      It's so easy. All screen with balls it's only 4 sprites. For fast he use PUSH in stack on screen.

      @@maxiwamoto7373 remember the speccy had no concept of sprites, this is all coded with just pixels on the screen, but as mentioned not hard. It's not dealing with or worrying about the previously placed balls, just flicking between states. I guess possibly using bank switching (128k only) the screen in.
