@@millypoo7713 It makes perfect sense, because at every turn the talking heads are lambasting the choice just because of one thing... COORS FIELD. Just listen to shills like the Mad Dog, and you'll see what I mean. I've said it before and I'll say it again; if Coors Field is so derided and hated, then why did MLB let us into the League in the first place?
Todd Helton #17 - A Colorado Treasure, Rockies and baseball miss this dude. My kid was one of those kids that saw you play for her 1st ballgame, and she met you at BP, forever a fan of #17!
.345 home batting average, .287 road batting average. .607 home slugging, .469 road slugging %. .441 home OBP, .386 road OBP 859 home rbi, 547 road rbi 874 runs scored at home, 527 runs scored on the road. Coors field is the real hall of famer.
Todd was always my favorite player, the man was great on 1st but his bat control and ability to fight off pitches was just incredible. Well deserved, and I hope he and his family are doing well.
It’s a shame the only player I knew on the Rockies was Troy Tulowitzki. I wish I had seen his talent in the 07 World Series. I had no idea he was on the same team for 17 seasons. Not many players can stick it out with one franchise.
To be a college qb means you’re rare special athlete. To be a baseball HOF player is even more rare. To be both means he’s an outstanding athlete. Congrats to him & his family. 4:03
Congratulations Todd helton you have made us left-handed guys very proud of you. I want but that's going to be set for Carmelo Anthony and Nokia Jokic will they have their time on the Hall of Fame pretty soon because they're Colorado guys as well. Honestly I don't know why Colorado has been such a big issue for the Hall of Fame because of the high altitude John elway, Shannon Sharpe they're all in the Hall of Fame. There was no complaint when those guys was coming up in the Denver area
And speaking of those home-away splits... career at Coors: 1,141 games 1,394 for 4,038 .345 avg. 227 HR 859 RBI 874 Runs 710 BB 514 SO .441 OBP .607 SLG. career on the road: 1,106 games 1,125 for 3,924 .287 142 HR 547 RBI 527 Runs 625 BB 661 SO .386 OBP .469 SLG. My objective opinion... he's not a HOF player if he plays his entire career with another team.
I’m a Dodger fan and watching Todd play against us year in and year out was a privilege. Such an underrated player. Congratulations Todd!
He just got voted into the HOF, and you're saying he is underrated? That makes no sense 😕
@@millypoo7713look up the 2000 NL MVP voting on bbref-then you’ll see where underrated comes from

@@millypoo7713 during his playing days he was tremendously underrated. But hey thanks for that reach 😉
@nowtheworld138 And who exactly was saying he was underrated? List your sources and examples? Obviously, the only one reaching is YOU.
Best compliment I heard about Todd's batting was when Tim Lincecum said Todd Helton was the hardest player to pitch against.

As a Brewer fan, i still rooted for Helton. He was such a gamer each and every day. So much fun to watch.
Incredibly happy for Todd. I was really bummed he didn't get it last year. One of the best pure hitters in history.
So Glad Helton is in the HOF as a Rockie :)
Todd is such a good dude. Go Vols!

Wow! Those are drastic.
Best Denver athlete of all time. Can't change my mind
Not his fault that there's a major league team in that city so you should still get in.
If Tony Gwynn calls you a hall of famer in your second year, there's not much bigger compliment. Congrats!
I grew up in Colorado. The Rockies franchise is a struggle but Todd Helton stuck with us the whole way. He’s as real as it gets.
Favorite player all time... been to atleast 200 of Todd Helton Rockie games.. so happy for you sir! Much deserved! I'll be at Cooperstown

As a Braves fan, I always like watching Todd Helton played with the Rockies. He’s definitely one of the greatest hitters of all time!
Way to go Helton!! Happy for you.
So happy for Todd. Came so close last year. Had a feeling he'd make it but so satisfying to see it's official.
Many congrats to Todd! Thank you for so many great Rockies years!
Love the succession setup helton got going on
It shouldn't have taken this man this long to get in, he was a no brainer to me and I'm a Mets fan. Glad you made it man, loved watching you play!!

It’s a shame it took him so long to get in just cause he played in Colorado. The man would’ve been solid no matter where he played.
Can he please buy the team now? Him and PFM could do it!
Man do you know how little he made in his career and how expensive these teams are?
I’m so happy for Helton, but also so happy for Rockies fans. They all must be brimming with pride right now
Special for Denver, Colorado
Go Buckeyes Vs Tennessee
Pray for him… his daughters probably have him fighting demons everyday.
lol ok then
Ohio State 59 vs Tennessee 0
Better do something after all the players you bought 😂
Bruh what?

Oh really...if he has those numbers in Boston or NY he would have been a first ballot hall of famer you rube
