Heck though, most characters never get a real Strife anymore, and the entire concept seems to be completely gone now, which is a real shame since it was one of my favorite things in the early comic. I still think this is my favorite one after catching up, though! Maybe we'll get a few with all the "final bosses" about to happen...

This sounds like the music where a cliche boss fight will go down, and like after they are *almost* dead, john will take his last stand and be like "my friends give me power, but you wouldn't understand that now would you" and deliver a final blow. So basically, an anime boss fight
This was my favorite OP theme for the Homestuck anime. Unite synchronizaton was an okay theme for season 2, but this just fit season one marvelously \OoO/

You're thinking of Sunsetter, THAT'S the original. Toby mentioned in his old blog that he wasn't happy with how Sunsetter sounded, but then Seth came along and improved upon the prototype melody that Toby composed. Toby actually praised Seth for what he did with it. So yeah, TECHNICALLY Toby made arranged the original, but Seth was the one that made it popular (and was used in a Soundpage.)
This is definitely my favorite song so far through homestuck. I made my D&D listen to it on repeat with no complaints the whole night. I'm always impressed at just how great every element of this series can be!
Exos True Midnight Beam syncs with the start and decides to take up almost the whole map with a huge and disjointed hitbox influenced by a glitch on CotD ver. where it can kill the whole map.

I'm not a Homestuck fan. I don't really care about it, nor do I ever intend to read it. Yet I can't help but appreciate musical gems it has, like this song. Or Dance of Thorns. Best songs of my life.
I sitting on the bus, reading manga (flame of recca) on my ipad and listening to music one day. And, right when the dude removes a seal and 8 fire dragons explode out of him in a fight, this played. It was the most epic moment in non-homestuck reading history. Even outside of homestuck, the music just KNOWS.
Listening to this song fills me with sparks of hope that burn into a bright passion and determination to take the steps i can to bring the world just a bit closer to the collective goal of a peaceful future we were always promised as kids. To those of you looking to do the same, remember that a small step is still a step, and that every step is different. Im trying to learn how to code so i can use my art skills to make games and unique webpages that will inspire and tell stories with important lessons. Theres so much you can do too that may seem indirect, but is still helpful. Do whatever you want to do with your life, your aspirational goal, and understand how best you can use it to help others.
