- A recent warm spell in October provided the perfect opportunity to explore the Bald Eagle State Forest and High -Top Trail, along with the Colburn Tunnel. The fall foliage was amazing too!

Join this retired couple on an unforgettable off-road adventure through the stunning Pennsylvania wilderness in the famous Bald Eagle State Forest. We will take our trusty, and “a bit rusty” 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ.
It had been a while since we created a video; life sometimes gets out of control; but we are doing our best to get back int the game!
We decided to simply “GET OUT” and see what we could see. We found plenty of trails; got lost; and had a blast!

Ive been meaning to make a trip out there to explore and camp. Definitely going to set something up for spring
It is an amazing place; rugged and beautiful; we are definitely headed back!
Great video. Just a note on High Top Trail. It's technically an out-n-back starting at the west entrance. There were "No Trespassing" signs around late '22 or early '23, I believe. They aren't there anymore but, be aware that they may be back up in the future. The creek crossing is an entrance to someone's cabin.
There's another tunnel to the south-east of this one. It has a parking area and a walking bridge to the entrance.

Thanks! We went in at the bottom through the little stream; we did see a camp but the trail seemed to skirt around to the left of it, and we did not spot any signs indicating otherwise. We will avoid going in that way if we go back there. Awesome ride up through there!
