Only discovered this gent recently, but I already have such warm feelings toward him. You are missed, Kevin.

I'd advise those new to his music to start with "Joy of a Toy" and "Whatevershebringswesing".
What happened to Kevin? Well, like his brilliant description of Syd Barrett and Jimi Hendrix he too, in terms of his talent, was a "comet" that was "too bright to live". But, unlike Syd and Jimi he is still with us, and even though he had a long period in the doldrums (between the late 70s and the early 90s) he can never be written off.

I have heard almost every Ayers album but had actually never seen a live interview. Its the kind of thing that I never would have seen had it not been on youtube, thanks. He is a very strange sort of fellow isn't he? But he speaks the bare truth on all issues touched upon. Hope he comes out with a new album soon.

@TristanH90 You are welcome Tristan, I'm glad that you appreciate. Yes, I agree, he always had the unique feature - among all of his mates - to preserve a little healthy cynical view, together with all of his/our dreams.. he is a real one.

perversely, he was always drawn to the outside...
...he could have been huge. but then, would i have loved his music?

@AristYdes ...nonetheless his hair are still long, his style has not changed, he is still an outsider!

    Very interesting
    but
He really doesn't talk about the 14 Hour Technicolour Dream, just the mood of the time and Syd Barrett circa 1966-67.
